The old monk's angry shout echoed like rolling thunder in Xu Fan's ears!
From the mont the old monk began his incantation to now demanding Xu Fan take action, it had scarcely been the ti it takes to finish a cup of tea! Xu Fan hadn't even had ti to think of a foolproof plan for breaking the deadlock, and now he was being told to act!

The old monk returned the gesture with an equally "resolute" look but could say no more, sweat beginning to form on his forehead as he focused on breaking the seal.

As Xu Fan invoked the Beast Taming Art and his aura surged, the previously lazy and unconcerned White Snake's countenance changed dramatically. Its whole body beca erect, extrely agitated, and it even angrily cursed at the old monk.
The old monk concentrated on dealing with the seal, naturally ignoring the White Snake, but the smugness on his brow grew more pronounced.
"Old fool, do you think a re Vajra Realm youngster can control ?"
"I might as well perish together with this boy! Dream on if you think this will get you out!"
The White Snake continued its tirade of curses while an imnsely cold energy began surging from its body, seeping through the small breach in the seal towards Xu Fan.
The breach allowed Xu Fan to use the Beast Taming Art to control the White Snake, but it also enabled the White Snake to attack Xu Fan.
Though the White Snake had just awakened and might not have reached its full strength, this terrifying being could deliver blows beyond what Xu Fan could withstand!
Witnessing this, Xu Fan wanted to jump with rage.
This old ape cared only about his own escape and didn't even consider such a situation! If Xu Fan were to die from the White Snake's attack, could the old ape escape? Dream on!

The White Snake remained silent, seemingly disdainful of engaging Xu Fan in conversation, while increasingly frigid energy surged even more ferociously towards Xu Fan! Biting his lip, Xu Fan's voice resonated in the White Snake's mind again.
"Senior! I am not the ally of this old golden ape! To tell you the truth, I am a cultivator who ventured into these ruins and, by sheer chance, ca across a letter left by Sect Master Gu Fang of the Myriad Beasts Sect, learning of the events from a thousand years ago!"
"I ca here precisely to resolve this matter! If you cooperate with , we can certainly slay this golden ape!"

The White Snake shuddered, and the surging cold energy towards Xu Fan ceased abruptly, accompanied by a slightly trembling voice that reached Xu Fan's ears.
