Pill King Hall.
Xu Fan stood alone, proud and unyielding, while all the Elders and disciples of Pill Divine Valley lay prostrated, trembling like lambs waiting for the slaughter.
Only now did they finally understand just how terrifying this brazen, heaven-defying youth truly was!
Those Guest Elders were shaking even harder, their eyes filled to the brim with fear.
This youth, how could he be so ignorant fool who didn't know life from death? The ones who'd wanted to behead Xu Fan—those were the ones courting death!
Countless hearts quaked with terror, yet clung to one last shred of hope as they looked toward Wu He, the Valley Master still seated calmly at the head. For over a thousand years, Pill Divine Valley had weathered countless impacts and crises, and every ti, the Valley Master had resolved them with ease.
Now, although the enemy was only a lone figure, just a seemingly insignificant youth, at this mont everyone understood: this youth was far more dangerous than all those past calamities combined!
This ti, could the Valley Master defeat this terrifying youth again and lead Pill Divine Valley onward?
Song Ling'er, anwhile, stared at Xu Fan with a face full of shock, her big eyes brimming with disbelief and also… a hint of joy and sweetness.
Rebirth on the brink of death, a desperate reversal, the king's return… without a doubt, this was the kind of plot girls loved most.
Granted… sticking the label "king's return" onto Xu Fan wasn't exactly accurate. Xu Fan had never been to Pill Divine Valley before, and years ago he'd never been humiliated here, never roared sothing like "thirty years east of the river, thirty years west, don't bully the poor young man."
But Song Ling'er didn't care in the slightest; she insisted on forcefully crowning Xu Fan with the title of "king returned."
Pill Divine Valley indeed had shown her kindness, but at this mont Song Ling'er had already thrown that to the back of her mind. Compared to Xu Fan, that bit of kindness was utterly insignificant to her.
So, Song Ling'er smiled.
Just like a Princess embraced by her warrior, right now the Princess gazed happily at her own warrior, watching him step by step walk toward the Demon Dragon.
As for whether the warrior could slay the Dragon, whether the Princess and warrior could live happily ever after—that was no longer important. What mattered was that the warrior held his spear and had co alone, for the Princess's sake.
At this mont, Xu Fan naturally had no idea he'd already beco the fairy-tale warrior in Song Ling'er's eyes, the embodint of justice co to eradicate the evil Pill Divine Valley. If he knew, he'd definitely be secretly pleased with himself.
Robbing a place had always been a technical art. To gracefully and leisurely loot Pill Divine Valley clean—that had long been the goal Xu Fan set for himself. And now it seed he'd actually accomplished it even better than he'd planned!
Not only was he about to righteously strip Pill Divine Valley bare, he'd also beco the warrior in a young girl's eyes, the symbol of justice, spear and sword in hand, fighting for peace and ti itself, for billions of innocent commoners, striking down evil and upholding justice…
He could laugh himself awake from this dream!
Tap, tap, tap.
Xu Fan carried the Star Shatter Lance, unhurried, walking step by step toward those Guest Elders who had stepped out earlier.
Robbery had always been a technical job. How was he going to make this lofty bunch of Alchemists willingly cough up the Elixirs they'd painstakingly refined, and even willingly beco his oxen and horses in the days to co?
Fear! Was the greatest weapon!
And right now, every Alchemist's face in the Pill King Hall was written full of fear.
Under the crushing weight of this terrifying pressure, their very souls were being ground down! Every nerve stretched to the breaking point! And Xu Fan's footsteps were like the final straw on the cal's back.
Bang, bang, bang!
That steady footfall in their ears had turned into war drums! Into the pounding of warhorses! Into the approach of so primordial beast!
Xu Fan, anwhile, carefully controlled his aura. What he wanted wasn't a bunch of lunatics, but Alchemists who held fear of him deep in their hearts. As for those Guest Elders, clearly they weren't going to be that lucky.
"No, no! I—I was wrong… don't!"
Xu Fan hadn't said a word or thrust his spear, yet several of the Guest Elders had already collapsed! Blood sprayed from their mouths! Their hair was disheveled, as if they'd fallen into Deviation!
The hall fell deathly silent! The fear on everyone's faces thickened to the extre!
The youth they had previously looked down on and dismissed as beneath notice had by now beco the very incarnation of a Demon, approaching step by step, forcing them to taste endless terror…
Bang!
Just then, a thunderous boom resounded. One Guest Elder who had been howling at the Peak of despair exploded into a cloud of blood, which splattered across the faces of those lofty Alchemists.
Each Alchemist shuddered, and those with weaker ntal fortitude had already soaked their lower garnts…
Fear had spread to its absolute limit!
At that perfect mont, Xu Fan stopped walking, gently lifted his foot, and stepped down on Elder Mo Li's face.
"I ca to congratulate Pill Divine Valley. Could it be Pill Divine Valley doesn't like my gift? Or is it… you simply don't put , Xu Fan, in your eyes?"
His voice was calm, clear with a youth's brightness, almost pleasant to the ear, yet everyone in the hall shivered uncontrollably, as if that voice were sothing utterly terrifying, like a Demon's ghastly laugh.
Of course, in Song Ling'er's eyes, Xu Fan was now facing the Demon Dragon, the butcher's blade raised high, delivering a righteous verdict.
"There have been many who didn't take seriously." Xu Fan spoke as if recounting a story, his voice tranquil and lodious, and then in a blink it turned murderous. "But among those who dared be presumptuous before and managed to keep breathing afterward, there has never been a single one…"
Slash!
The Star Shatter Lance pierced straight through Mo Li's chest without the slightest resistance. The hand holding the spear was steady to the extre, as though killing an Elder of Pill Divine Valley was nothing more than a trivial matter, as casual as crushing an ant.
The spear-wielder then looked around with a smile, like so innocent, pure youth untouched by the world. But the words he spoke made everyone's expression contort with terror, their bodies shaking.
"I, Xu Fan, am a gentleman, so even if the world insults , mocks , belittles , I will still leave the world a way to live. As for whether they can grasp that path… that has nothing to do with ."
"Three breaths of ti. Those who want to live—kneel!"
In the depths of the Pill King Hall, Valley Master Wu He, on whom all the expectant gazes had converged, still remained silent, seated with composure. Only, those eyes that had been shut this whole ti had, at so unknown point, quietly opened.
Yet this ti, Wu He did not show that mysterious smile. Instead, his face was sowhat gloomy.
The youth before him was far more domineering than Wu He had anticipated.
Inside and outside the Pill King Hall, all Elders and disciples of Pill Divine Valley dropped to their knees without the slightest hesitation.
In just a few short minutes, Xu Fan had used an overwhelming stance pushed to the absolute limit to subdue the entire Pill Divine Valley!
