Chen Nan grabbed his phone and walked out of the private room: “Old Wolf, what are you doing calling in broad daylight instead of hitting on girls?”
“Don’t even ntion hitting on girls. My luck’s been bad lately. Two girls got pregnant, and they refuse to get an abortion. It’s driving crazy.” The Wolf said gloomily, “I just finished a job and I’m in Ningjiang City now. If you’re free, co have a few drinks with to lift my spirits, I’m really at my wits’ end.”
Chen Nan laughed when he heard that and said, “See, that’s what you get for not using protection. Now they’re pregnant, and you’ll just have to wait to beco a dad.”
“Can you stop gloating, for crying out loud?” The Wolf said exasperatedly, “Where are you anyway? Those two girls are giving such a headache. You have to drink to your heart’s content with today.”
Chen Nan helplessly replied, “Later, okay? I’m really tied up right now. Our classmates are having a reunion, and we’re drinking.”
“A class reunion!?”
The Wolf exclaid and quickly said, “So there must be a lot of girls!?”
Chen Nan was speechless and said, “Haven’t you sorted out your situation with those two girls yet? Don’t co ruin my classmates. They’re all innocent eighteen or nineteen-year-old girls, do you have the nerve?”
“Damn, that’s really my favorite age, but you’re right. I haven’t even dealt with those two, and they’re already troubling enough. Now really isn’t the ti to get involved with other won. Never mind, just tell where your reunion is, and I’ll co over and have a few drinks with you first.”
Chen Nan questioned, “You’re really just coming to drink, and not hitting on my female classmates?”
“Of course, those two are already making my head explode, I don’t have the energy for anyone else.”
“See, now you’re suffering the consequences of your usual chaotic behavior.”
Chen Nan laughed out loud and said, “Shengshi Ge Chao Room 209, hurry over. I’ll go greet my teacher first.”
“Alright, alright, I’m on my way.”
After hanging up, Chen Nan returned to the private room and told Lan Yuqin that a friend of his was coming over. Lan Yuqin didn’t object, and after checking with the classmates, no one opposed, so the matter was settled.
About twenty minutes later, that rascal The Wolf showed up.
The guy walked in with two waiters, the one in front carrying two baskets of baijiu, ten bottles per basket, making twenty bottles in total, and they were all 600 ml large bottles.
The one behind carried drinks, fruits, and other snacks.
Even though The Wolf wasn’t a civilized person, he knew how to behave. As an outsider joining soone else’s class reunion, he had to show so courtesy, or else Chen Nan would be stuck in an awkward position.
Seeing the two baskets of baijiu, Lan Yuqin frowned.
Chen Nan quickly went over and whispered, “Don’t worry, I won’t force our classmates to drink baijiu. This buddy of mine is a friend from the police station and can really hold his liquor. Every ti I drink with him, we start with at least ten bottles of baijiu. These might not even be enough for us.”
Only then did Lan Yuqin nod. Beer was fine for the classmates, but she’d definitely stop them if it ca to baijiu.
The Wolf, being carefree, mingled easily with people, first having a few beers with the guys in the class. After getting familiar with each other, he pulled Chen Nan over to drink baijiu.
The two sat there, the clinking of their bottles was nonstop, finishing bottle after bottle, shouting and having a great ti.
The classmates were dumbfounded. Were they really drinking baijiu? It seed like they were drinking plain water!
The guys also got fired up by these two and grabbed beer bottles to join in, with a few even pouring a drink for Lan Yuqin.
Unknowingly, two hours passed, and everyone’s got a bit of a buzz.
Chen Nan and The Wolf, though both possessing deep Inner Strength and high alcohol tolerance, drank a bit too much. They finished those twenty bottles and called for twenty more, not using Inner Strength to counteract the alcohol, resulting in their heads feeling a bit dizzy.
Su Qingqing and Huo Xinya tried to stop them a few tis, but Chen Nan was enjoying himself and ignored them, much to their frustration. In the end, they stopped talking to him and went off to sing.
“Co on, brother, we haven’t had a good drink in half a year. Let’s make up for it today.”
“Alright, if I don’t drink you under the table today, you won’t know who has the best tolerance in this world.”
“Alcohol tolerance… well, mine’s naturally the best.”
“What a load of bull. If I claim second place, no one dares to claim first.”
“I don’t accept it, brother. Let’s keep drinking, and no using Inner Strength to counteract!”
“Drink!”
Seeing the two with their arms around each other, shouting incessantly and gulping down baijiu, Huo Xinya, Su Qingqing, and Lan Yuqin all frowned.
Lan Yuqin hesitated for a mont then said, “You two should drink a little less, you’ve had quite enough.”
The Wolf, feeling a bit drunk, turned back to glance at her, then waved his hand and said, “We’re big guys drinking, you girls just watch. It’s not right if we don’t drink to our heart’s content, isn’t that right, brother?”
“Of course.”
Chen Nan clinked a bottle with him and said, “Co on, if you’re a man, drink it all in one go.”
“Alright, let’s do it.”
The two grabbed their bottles and with a “clink,” started gulping again.
Lan Yuqin almost choked on his words, but knowing they were a bit drunk, she wasn’t angry. She just gave Chen Nan a stern look and turned away.
Su Qingqing felt annoyed too, but ultimately worried for Chen Nan. She pulled on his arm, “Idiot, you’re almost drunk, slow down.”
Chen Nan turned to look at Su Qingqing, grinned and said, “Girl, want a drink?” He extended the bottle towards her.
“Drink your head, all you know is drink, stop it already.”
Chen Nan rolled his eyes and said, “You’re not drinking? If not, why are you pulling ? Didn’t you hear The Wolf? We big guys drink, you girls just watch, what’s all the fuss?” With that, he clinked The Wolf again, “Co on, brother, let’s go.”
And they gulped down another bottle.
“You stupid idiot!”
Su Qingqing puffed her cheeks, glaring at Chen Nan fiercely. She was genuinely annoyed. The idiot who used to do whatever she said now dared to call her ddleso and tell her off.
“A couple of drunkards!”
Su Qingqing glared, fuming, but Chen Nan didn’t even glance at her, continuing to clink glasses with The Wolf and having a blast.
