BANG.

Grey shot across the skies, his butterfly wings propelling him through the Fog of Chaos. The sun’s rays and the bounds of chaos themselves propelled him forward, the two eting one another in a push and pull dichotomy that sent his power to another level entirely.

Maybe it was the case that he didn’t have the bloodline to make perfect use of his Fra.

But what if the Fra was so powerful that even in using only a small tidbit of it...

He beca overwhelming?

His spear flashed and the Syrn reacted with a swipe of its tail.

Chi.

There was a clatter and a hint of pain flashed by the Syrn’s eyes as it realized its black light had actually been penetrated.

Grey grinned ear to ear, digital motes and bits of fragnted crimson forming a wild smile across his Helm Fra.

"Now it’s go ti."

Grey’s leg flashed and the flat of his foot landed against the body of the Syrn.

BOOM.

It blasted across the skies, the Fog of Chaos swirling and making it heavier and heavier until it crashed into the ground.

Grey kicked at the air an instant later, his body shooting across the space like a railgun.

The Syrn rebounded against the ground, its body bouncing up like a ball. Grey took control of the Fog of Chaos, gravity shifting around him as he yanked the Syrn back up as he fell from the skies like a streaking teor.

Grey’s howl filled the air, a blazing excitent in his eyes as he had the ti of his life.

A dark gold light shrouded his spear blade, his body churning with a mass of explosive energy as he drove down.

BOOM.

Earth cracked and rolled like tsunamis. Trees collapsed, the Fog of Chaos once unaffected even by howling winds dispersing in a swirl of majestic might.

Grey stood atop the Syrn, a scythe separating his blade from its heart.

Yet, he didn’t seem perturbed in the slightest. If anything, his grin beca wider.

The shock in the Syrn’s eyes slowly faded away.

"... I have shad my Ancestors..." it said slowly.

Chi.

Grey vanished, a beam of light cutting across where he had just been. He slid to a stop on the ground nearby, but by the ti he looked toward where the Syrn was, it was already gone.

Grey spun, his spear swiping out in a sweeping surge of dark gold and fog.

BANG.

The strength was so powerful Grey nearly lost control of his polearm, a wide opening appearing at his chest.

The scythe’s curved blade flashed, its arc moving so fast it felt like Grey’s eyes were chasing shadows.

His body was already moving on its own. Feeling the pressure through his magnetic fields and his Resonant Sense, the two layered together in pulsing waves of information his Last Paladin Spirit acted upon faster than ever before.

He bent out of the way, flipping back and palming the ground.

Before he could even flip back to his feet, a tail stabbed out at his spine. Sharp and sinister, it moved through the domain of his senses as thin as a needle, hardly detectable, and even faster than thought.

Grey’s body flashed and he pulled on his Helm Fra, his body splitting into three.

The needle-like blade passed through shadows, shattering one of his clones as the last two landed on their feet. His real self and his last clone separated, dashing to the left and right and then diving toward the Syrn.

The Syrn’s eyes darted back and forth, a cold light radiating from it as the black light it emitted beca denser and sharper.

It suddenly swiped at one, but its tail went for the other. Grey and his clone vanished.

From the left and right of the Syrn, they appeared to its front and back.

His palm landed on the Syrn’s back, sending it shooting forward, and then he swapped places with his clone, gearing up a thrust of his spear that pierced right toward its chest.

Chi.

Dense black light ate into Grey’s attack. By the ti it landed on the Syrn’s chest, he drew only the slightest bit of blood, and yet he reacted instantly to it.

He flicked his blade up, sending the bead of dark blood into the skies. He retracted his spear with one hand, reaching out his other in a clench of his palm.

His fang dagger appeared, growing a blood blade that extended to over half a dozen ters in an instant.

Chi.

It took too long. Grey’s body was cut in half by the Syrn’s scythe cleanly at the hip.

And yet Grey didn’t even falter for even a mont.

He pulled the line of blood into his sword.

He activated the Helm Fra and his body instantly reverted back to its state just three seconds ago.

The Syrn had just barely relaxed when Grey’s body snapped back together.

Without missing a beat, Grey pulled the blood into his heart, making sure to only do this after his body reverted. He shuddered and then his veins roared.

The Syrn’s body beca lines of black in his eyes as his gaze pulsed with a flashing, dense light. Staring into their crimson depths felt like gazing into the abyss of death itself.

Void Gaze.

The Syrn froze for just the briefest instant. It was a ti fra so impossibly small that no one should have been able to take advantage of it.

Except for Grey.

Grey’s Last Paladin Fra blood, his butterfly wings vanishing for a burning amber set of angel wings instead. A halo appeared above his head, Last Coronation, Last Sever, Last Endurance, and Last Bulwark combining into a raging tempest.

And then he shifted his body’s state forward by three seconds.

All hell broke loose as Grey unleashed his spear thrust.

It felt like the world was split in two, a line of amber white gold piercing through it all.

The Syrn’s body shuddered and then slowly fell into two halves.

Grey roared.

Unfortunately, he didn’t get to roar for long as black light began to stitch together what he could only call an Eldritch Horror right in front of him.

"This phase two ass bitch..."

Grey curved and raised his spear, but his vision swam and he fell to a knee.

’There’s no way...’
