Sumr Sutton was truly frightened. She knew what kind of skills this Old Master had.
He couldn’t even drive a car steadily on flat ground, yet people expected him to safely fly a plane in such terrible, rainy weather?
Sumr was always a very timid person and didn’t want to lose her life here today. In her panic, she blurted out, "Manuel Ink!"
She just wanted to distract the old man and randomly pointed in a direction.
Unexpectedly, as she pointed, a tall figure erged from the hazy rain.
Sumr was shocked as she watched the man walk out, her expression a little dumbfounded.
With a blank face, Manuel Ink walked toward them and pulled Sumr away from the Old Master’s grasp into his own hands.
He didn’t bother to hide his disdain for Old Master Ink, and his words were even a bit cutting, "Grandpa, you’re already so old, and it’s no big deal if you don’t care about your own life. But she isn’t like you. She’s still young, with a long future ahead. Don’t drag her down with you."
His words hardly sounded like sothing you would say to your own grandfather.
What did he an by "no big deal if you don’t care about your own life"?
Old Master Ink was so furious that his beard trembled and his eyes glared, "You cheeky brat, how dare you talk like that?"
He shot a glance at Sumr, then pulled her back again, "I insist on having her accompany today. What are you going to do about it?"
As he spoke, his chin was held high, full of stubbornness, much like a little child throwing a tantrum.
"Oh, feeling sorry for her, are you!" he added jokingly.
Sumr was so stunned by him that she turned her head, looking at Manuel Ink beside her without showing much emotion.
Manuel Ink’s cold eyes were still foggy like before, and Sumr couldn’t clearly see his expression.
Old Master Ink snorted, paid little regard to Manuel Ink, and continued pulling Sumr towards the plane. But her other hand was held by Manuel Ink, "I said, let her go!"
He said seriously, with a stern face.
Would Old Master be scared of him?
A grandson, he could scold him however he pleased.
The Old Master was unhappy with him, turned around, raised his hand, and slapped his hand away from Sumr Sutton.
He hit hard, and after the slap, intended to strike at Manuel Ink’s head, but Manuel sidled and dodged.
Sumr found herself awkwardly caught between the grandfather and grandson.
She was actually very afraid to board Old Master’s plane, but after pondering and recalling Adrian Walyon’s leg treatnt thods, she took a deep breath and gently pushed Manuel’s hand away, "Let accompany the Old Master for a while! It’s okay, don’t worry. You have to trust Grandpa’s skills."
After her words, Manuel seed to twitch slightly at the eyes, looking at her with a peculiar expression.
He was so skeptical of Old Master’s skills that he insisted on not letting her go on the plane. Didn’t she understand that?
Old Master Ink was extrely pleased with Sumr’s indirect complint.
"Quite the talker," he said, giving Sumr a glance, then continued pulling her toward the airplane.
Manuel Ink stood stiffly on the grass of the airfield, his eyes following their figures, wanting to catch up several tis.
Old Master Ink was particularly dismissive of him. Each ti he took a step, the Old Master would turn his head and shout, "Go, go, go. Go stay on the side. Your presence affects my flying."
