Downstairs, the Old Master was still wailing, a heart-wrenching cry that never ceased.
Sumr Sutton quietly listened to him, pondering for a mont, and suddenly her eyes brightened.
She thought of a way to negotiate with the Ink Family.
She couldn’t fathom Manuel Ink’s intentions, but starting with the Old Master seed much easier to Sumr Sutton.
The Inks aren’t interested in money, but if she could offer sothing that appealed to them, she believed it would be a big temptation for the Old Master.
Imagining this, Sumr Sutton suddenly felt energized.
Ignoring her injured leg, she slowly made her way downstairs.
As she descended, she didn’t see Manuel Ink, only the Old Master was there.
He seed deeply downcast, holding a teacup, sitting on the sofa with a face full of dejection.
Sumr Sutton walked over and sat down next to him, starting a conversation, "The plane’s ruined?"
"Yes." The Old Master responded to her.
"Can’t be fixed?" Sumr Sutton asked again.
The Old Master nodded.
"It must hurt a lot, right?" Sumr Sutton continued.
Isn’t this obvious?
The Old Master glanced at her, suddenly feeling that Sumr Sutton seed to be gloating.
With a fierce gaze, he thought he might retort, but before he could speak, Sumr Sutton interjected, "How about I give you one?"
"Whatever kind you want, custom made, or the only one in the world, as long as you like it." With a slight lift of her face, Sumr Sutton was confident, "And all I want is for you to cure my injured leg in exchange. Will you consider it, Grandpa?"
Her offer was very tempting, to say the least.
Casually giving away a plane is not sothing an ordinary person can do.
If it’s custom-made and a limited edition, it would cost at least billions to start.
The Old Master hesitated after hearing her words.
He was silent for quite a while, and Sumr Sutton thought that since he was struggling, he would eventually be persuaded by her.
Who knew, the Old Master suddenly stood up and rebuked her, "Do I look like soone so shallow? Trying to buy with a plane?"
His words left Sumr Sutton dumbfounded for a few seconds.
Unwilling to give up, Sumr Sutton continued to offer a bunch of enticing conditions, "Plus ten limited edition luxury cars, from various brands, whatever you like, I’ll buy them for you. You like driving, don’t you? You can switch different cars to drive on rainy days each month, isn’t that nice?"
The Old Master paused at her words, seemingly pondering them for a mont.
However, what he ultimately threw back at her was, "It seems you’re not just shallow."
Sumr Sutton didn’t deny his words in the least.
She was shallow!
So what?
As long as she could achieve her goal, it didn’t matter what he called her.
The Old Master seed uninterested in discussing the matter further and headed upstairs with large strides, his hands behind his back.
"Grandpa Ink—" Sumr Sutton wanted to chase after him, but a sudden sharp pain in her ankle made her fall back onto the sofa.
The butler, who happened to walk in, kindly reminded her, "It’s useless. The old man is even more stubborn than the young master. Bargaining with him is more challenging than with the young master."
"Really?" Sumr Sutton’s dim eyes lit up again, as if she saw a new ray of hope.
Disregarding her injured leg, she limped off to find Manuel Ink.
When she went upstairs, Manuel Ink was standing with his back to her on his room balcony, staring out at sothing unknown.
