She caught up with him in a few steps and wrapped her arm around his. "What do you think about what I just ntioned?"
Adrian Walyon walked on unwaveringly, ignoring her.
Once inside, ready to change shoes, Sumr Sutton eagerly picked out the slippers for him and helped him take off his coat.
Adrian rely turned his head to glance at her without speaking.
Today, Emilia Sutton was exceptionally attentive; she didn’t even need Adrian Walyon to say anything. She proactively made dinner for him, brewed a cup of milk for him while he worked overti on the sofa, prepared a late-night snack to stave off hunger, and was just short of running upstairs to draw a bath for him.
Sitting next to him, Sumr Sutton waited for him to finish his work so they could continue discussing Lorraine Hughes.
At this mont, she imagined many things: if she could invite soone like Lorraine Hughes to participate in her small show, and the show beca popular, maybe she could graduate early due to her outstanding performance?
"Adrian, I know sothing like this would be easy for you. Can’t you help out?" Sumr Sutton watched him close his laptop, continuing her persuasion.
Adrian slowly turned his face to look at her, expressionless. "What’s worth interviewing about Lorraine Hughes? Letting her on the show, besides her face, what else is there to see?"
His words were biting, dismissing Lorraine Hughes as a vase, nothing but a pretty face.
Sumr Sutton disagreed, "But isn’t that face worth looking at? That’s enough, isn’t it?"
Nowadays, as long as a celebrity shows their face, it automatically brings ratings. Isn’t that how the entertainnt circle works?
"You could be even more superficial." Adrian threw her a dismissive remark, heading upstairs.
"..." Sumr Sutton was embarrassed for a mont, then quickly followed, "Say sothing, will you?"
Adrian acted as though he didn’t hear her, striding upstairs, directly into the bathroom upon entering the room.
Sumr Sutton followed him inside, trailing into the bathroom.
Adrian carried on as if she wasn’t there, naturally running water, undressing, and soaking in the tub.
It was Sumr Sutton who eventually beca uncomfortable.
Watching his half-exposed chest in the air made her blush, and she quickly turned to leave, only for Adrian to pull her by the wrist.
Sumr Sutton turned back to look at him, her heart fluttering.
"Stay, keep company." Adrian tossed her a remark, then closed his eyes.
Sumr Sutton sighed, forced to stand by and wait for him.
Adrian was typically quick with his showers, usually done in a few minutes. But today, for so reason, he showed no sign of getting up.
His eyes remained closed, seeming as if he was asleep.
Sumr Sutton couldn’t resist turning her face to quietly watch him.
Adrian’s arms rested on the edge of the tub, lazily lounging with an easy posture.
Droplets of water glistened on his skin, emitting a honey-like hue under the dim lights.
Steam swirled hotly in the bathroom.
A thin veil of water surrounded him, his finely chiseled, handso face muddled by the vapor.
In the quiet, he shed his aura of coldness, like a deity descended under the moonlight, making Sumr Sutton’s heart flutter aimlessly.
Sumr Sutton’s gaze lingered on him for a good two to three minutes before she hastily withdrew it.
Worried the water was too cold, Sumr Sutton pushed him lightly, "The water’s getting cold, co out if you’re done!"
She grabbed a bath towel and stuffed it into his hand, averting her gaze, leaving the bathroom before him.
Adrian turned to watch her for a mont, his gaze long and deep...
