Sumr Sutton entered the room and quickly headed upstairs.
Standing at the corner of the corridor, she listened discreetly to the commotion downstairs.
It seed that Manuel Ink’s parents had already co in.
Sumr Sutton wanted to eavesdrop on what the Old Master would discuss with his son and daughter-in-law.
She feared that the old man might be idle and recently focused solely on Manuel Ink’s marriage.
Pressed against the corner of the wall, her nervousness was evident on her face; while standing there, she anxiously twisted her clothes.
Manuel Ink stood not far away, quietly watching her like this, lost in thought for a long while.
The Ink Family’s Old Master was discussing recent family matters with Father Ink and Mother Ink.
Initially, they were talking about everyday life, but suddenly the topic shifted, "Manuel is already in his late twenties, he should get married. What do you think?"
"Dad, this kind of thing is natural."
"Have you found a suitable girl for Manuel? If not, I have soone in mind." The Old Master’s voice rang out again.
The Old Master then went on and on about how Sumr Sutton and Manuel Ink got along harmoniously.
He seed very satisfied with Sumr Sutton, hearing his tone, it seed they could directly discuss the wedding next.
Sumr Sutton paced anxiously upstairs, back and forth, her brows furrowed tightly.
She walked the corridor several tis, and when she inadvertently raised her face, she bumped into Manuel Ink not far away, she froze for a mont, feeling as if her head had been lightly tapped.
"Manuel... I..." Sumr Sutton wanted to explain her behavior, but the words on her lips were held back.
She felt there was no need to explain such matters.
Manuel Ink should have also noticed her reluctance.
Manuel Ink gazed at her intently, then slowly walked over to her.
"Are you happy in this house?" he asked slowly, one sentence at a ti, "Agreeing to Grandpa’s request wasn’t voluntary, was it forced?"
Sumr Sutton was speechless, her face lightly lowered, and didn’t speak.
"You went through so much trouble to get to the Ink Family, at all costs to obtain the prescription, it was for him, wasn’t it?" Manuel Ink slowly added, "For Watt Bennet, right?"
Sumr Sutton rely hung her face low, still not answering his question.
Even if Adrian Walyon hadn’t appeared at the Ink Family, Manuel Ink could probably have guessed.
Manuel Ink stared at her for a long while, unexpectedly blurting, "Watt Bennet, is Adrian Walyon, isn’t he!"
Sumr Sutton suddenly raised her face, shocked, looking at him, unable to believe what she heard.
How could he know about this?
Sumr Sutton could confirm Watt Bennet’s identity without question, but how could Manuel Ink, soone with no connection to Watt Bennet, deduce his identity after only one or two encounters?
Manuel Ink observed her expression without showing emotion, through her reaction he knew he had guessed everything correctly.
If Watt Bennet’s identity was Adrian Walyon, then the relationship between him and Sumr Sutton didn’t need guessing.
The corners of his lips tugged slightly; Manuel Ink suddenly found it sowhat ironic.
Sumr Sutton stared blankly at him, unsure what his smile ant.
"Do you want to go back to his side?" Manuel Ink looked at her and asked again.
The answer to this question was beyond doubt.
Adrian Walyon was Sumr Sutton’s only family in this world, and no matter what happened, he would always stand by her side.
