Sumr Sutton didn’t notice the figure on the balcony. After saying goodbye to Manuel Ink, she entered the garden.
Opening the door, going upstairs, and returning to the room, she was taken aback to see Watt Bennet still awake at this hour.
Watt was sitting in a sofa chair, seemingly waiting for her.
His gaze swept in her direction, lingering on her for an unusually long ti.

He was clearly misunderstanding, assuming Sumr Sutton’s late return was because she had stayed with Manuel Ink until this hour.

Sumr Sutton had no idea he had just seen Manuel Ink bringing her back. Thinking he only cared about her late return, she casually made up an excuse, "I was working late at the company."
She spoke simply; she didn’t want him to know what happened at the company tonight.
If it was sothing she could handle herself, she preferred to deal with it on her own.
After leaving that remark, she went to the bathroom to wash up.
It was too late, so Sumr Sutton quickly washed up and ca out.
When she walked out, she had changed into a nightgown.
Trying to get to sleep, she didn’t even wipe off the water droplets after bathing. The thin fabric of her nightgown got soaked, turning semi-transparent.
Sumr Sutton didn’t even notice her appearance at that mont. She got to the bed, turned off the light, and prepared to sleep just like that.
Just as she pulled the blanket over her, Watt Bennet suddenly walked over to her slowly.
Pulling away the blanket that covered her, he said nothing, yanking down her dress and pressing his body onto hers...
Tonight, he was being rather rough, seemingly intentionally tornting her, his actions were harsher than the previous nights.
Sumr Sutton had already been resentful because, in these recent days, he only communicated with her in bed. Tonight, she was particularly uncooperative with him.
As Watt acted, she swung her fist and hit him several tis, holding his body, raising herself to bite his shoulder, biting until it bled, intentionally scratching his back with her fingertips. Tonight, Sumr Sutton was like a wild cat.
"Adrian Walyon, I don’t want this, you hear ? I said I don’t want this!"
"Tell what you’ve been busy with these days? If you married a wife just for communication in bed every day, then why did we even get married? We might as well just divorce."
"You didn’t want to co back before, and now that you’re back, all you think about is these things every day. Tell , did you co back to Morning Garden just for this?"
Each of Sumr Sutton’s punches landed heavily on his shoulder, her heart was filled with resentnt.
She even brought up the word divorce.
Despite saying it, she didn’t truly an to consider divorce; she just wanted to express that if a man only marries for physical needs, such marriage is better not had.
However, in Watt Bennet’s ears, it was a different matter altogether.
They were nearing three years of marriage, what hadn’t they been through?
What storms hadn’t they weathered? Even life and death they had faced a couple of tis, how could she, after all that, speak the word divorce to him?
Watt Bennet was already angry tonight, and Sumr Sutton’s words provoked him even further, making him more relentless.
Sumr Sutton felt like her waist was about to break, and later on, she grew numb as if her body didn’t even belong to her.
At that mont, she was even more filled with hatred towards Watt Bennet, grinding her teeth.
