Sumr Sutton felt her hand being held by another hand, slightly callused, with palms that were a bit cool, like cherry blossom petals falling in April.
After knowing who was holding her, Sumr Sutton completely lost consciousness...
A film crew had just started working, and such a big incident happened with two people. The shooting scheduled for this morning couldn’t proceed normally.
When Sumr Sutton woke up, she was in the hospital. The only person in the room with her was Watt Bennet.
Sumr Sutton stared at his face again and again, recalling the situation when she had the accident. She opened her arms and hugged him tightly.
She held him tightly, feeling a sense of indescribable security in her heart.
Sumr Sutton knew that as long as he was around, nothing would happen to her.
"Tell , why did this happen?" Watt Bennet held her and stroked her back, asking.
"I fell in while saving Lorraine Hughes," Sumr Sutton explained.
Watt Bennet’s gaze faltered.
"Why did you want to save her? Are you stupid?" He frowned deeply and forcefully poked her forehead. "Don’t you know your limits? You didn’t save anyone and ended up giving yourself up. Do you think it was worth it?"
While scolding her, he shed his usual gentleness, scolding harshly. His cold fingertips poked painfully at Sumr Sutton’s forehead. It was clear he was truly angered by her.
"At that ti, I was the closest to her. If sothing happened to her, wouldn’t I be responsible too?" Sumr Sutton explained softly.
She just wanted to defend herself a bit, but Watt Bennet glanced at her, his eyes becoming sharper. "How much is it going to cost to take responsibility? You have a husband, are you afraid you can’t afford it? Given the situation at that ti, is it sothing you alone could handle?"
He shouted intensely, seemingly wanting to crack open Sumr Sutton’s head to see what she was thinking.
Sumr Sutton knew he was just frightened by her actions today, feeling incredibly uneasy inside.
With her head down, she spoke very softly, "The situation was urgent at the ti. I didn’t think that much."
Watt Bennet couldn’t be bothered to say much more. He clasped her chin with his fingers, lifting her face as he sternly reminded her, "Sumr Sutton, rember, to , no one’s life in this world is more important than yours. So, at any ti, no matter where you are, the first thing you should ensure is your own safety, not anything else, understood?"
Sumr Sutton’s heart was full to the brim. She hugged him fiercely and nodded vigorously, "I understand."
Watt Bennet was especially furious today. More than at Sumr Sutton, he was frustrated with the fact that even though several staff mbers were present at the scene, they had already saved Lorraine Hughes, and she wasn’t going to die, others were still focused on Lorraine Hughes.
Sumr Sutton, being such a living person, was still in danger, yet no one was thinking of her.
Thinking of this, Watt Bennet was enraged to the point of bursting.
He couldn’t imagine how severe Sumr Sutton’s consequences would have been if he hadn’t stayed at the scene with her.
Pacing back and forth in the room, he took out his phone and called his private lawyer.
"What are you doing?" Sumr Sutton leaned over to ask.
"To make those people pay for today." Watt Bennet tossed her these words and turned aside to make a call.
He always conducted his affairs without showing any leniency, instructing his lawyer to impose the strictest punishnts.
