If Adrian had to choose between living in the Walyon Family mansion and Sutton Gardens, he’d definitely choose Sutton Gardens, no question about it.
A ho just for the two of them, he’s even sent the servants away, so they can do whatever they want, whenever they want, wherever they want in the house—how convenient!
While eating, the Old Master brought up another issue.
He slowly lifted his face and gazed at Adrian, speaking directly, "Since you’re married, when are you going to start thinking about kids?"
Sumr Sutton raised her face in disbelief, looking at Adrian with a hint of panic.
Adrian casually continued cutting his steak.
After a taste, his tone was full of disdain, "Didn’t we just get married? What’s the rush? We haven’t even enjoyed our ti as a couple yet!"
He obviously hadn’t thought about having children, which made Sumr breathe a sigh of relief.
The Old Master was a bit displeased, but it seed understandable that a newly married couple would want so more ti to themselves.
"Handle this yourself." Although his face was stern and his heart was uncomfortable, the Old Master didn’t say much more.
Ever since Sumr ca to the Walyon Family mansion, she hadn’t been at ease. Always being watched by Diana Wood made her feel oppressed, and she had to guard against the Old Master’s sudden shocking comnts.
Sumr’s dinner felt really unpleasant.
Throughout the al, she hardly touched anything.
Adrian seed to notice it, and halfway through the al, he suddenly stood up.
"There’s sothing urgent at the company I need to deal with, so Sumr and I will leave now." Making up an excuse, he pulled Sumr towards the Walyon Family gate.
He didn’t even linger.
Diana’s face darkened.
Her own son can’t even be kept at ho?
...
Adrian knew Sumr hadn’t eaten enough, so after walking out, he drove her to a restaurant.
He took her to have French cuisine, ordered a bottle of wine, Sumr was in charge of eating, while he occasionally helped her with the dishes.
"Is everyone at ho like wolves and tigers? Every ti you go back, you can’t eat well?" Adrian looked at her, lightly teasing.
"If you were under the watchful eyes of several pairs at all tis, could you eat well?" Sumr retorted.
Adrian really can completely ignore others’ gazes.
However, he thought it was unnecessary to discuss this issue with her.
"Want to drink so wine to warm up?" He poured a glass of wine and pushed it to her.
It was snowing outside, Northtown’s winters are always like this; there’s snowfall every few days.
Sumr had been inside for a while; her ten fingers were still pink and cold like popsicles.
Adrian staring at her suddenly pulled her into his arms, settling her onto his lap.
Without explanation, his big hand enveloped hers, gently rubbing her palms to warm them.
Sumr stared at him, montarily dazed.
Adrian was rubbing her hands, his hands ward hers, until her palms and the back of her hands were warm.
Since coming here with him, Sumr had felt quite comfortable, but with his sudden action, she suddenly felt a bit uneasy.
"I’m fine, a little wine will do." She wriggled out of his arms, picked up the wine he poured and drank it.
After a glass, her cheeks were slightly flushed, seemingly a bit warr, so she drank another.
Her tolerance for alcohol was just two or three glasses.
Adrian quietly watched her actions, knowing her limits, yet he didn’t remind her.
