This ti, Adrian Walyon was much more serious than the last interview. Probably because he wanted to help Sumr Sutton get first place, he didn’t start fooling around as he usually would.
Sumr Sutton’s interview went smoothly this ti, so smoothly that no breaks were needed.
After the forty-minute recording ended, she began to work on the video.
These past few days, she had been working late every day, often staying alone in the study until midnight without returning to her room.
At midnight, after taking a shower, Adrian Walyon hadn’t seen her back in the room, so he wrapped his bathrobe tightly and went to the study.
When he pushed open the door, Sumr Sutton was buried in her work on the video.
She seed very tired, her eyelids drooping, yet she was still holding on.
Adrian Walyon ca up behind her and ordered, "Go back to the room right now!"
"Just a little longer, I’m almost done!" Sumr Sutton didn’t even lift her head, still engrossed in her work.
"Back to the room!" Adrian’s expression turned serious, as he ordered again.
"No, I said I’m almost done." Sumr was stubborn, still ignoring his words.
Intent on continuing her work, Adrian, out of the blue, closed her laptop with a snap.
"Adrian Walyon, what are you doing?" Sumr Sutton panicked, fearing she hadn’t saved her work.
Adrian didn’t care, lifting her up to head toward the bedroom.
"It’s ti to sleep!" Taking her back to the bedroom, he threw her onto the bed, with his tall fra following her down.
"At bedti, we should do what one does at bedti." He bent over, giving her lips a light kiss. It didn’t seem enough; his hands slipped under her pajamas, sliding up while removing her clothing.
Sumr Sutton was a bit annoyed by his domineering attitude.
But she could tell Adrian didn’t want her working late, out of concern for her well-being.
Sumr Sutton felt helpless against him.
Her hand rested on the crook of his arm, her palm slowly tracing his firm muscles, she softened her voice, "I just want to do my best at everything. If you hadn’t co, I would have gone back to the room myself later."
Adrian paused his actions, his body hovering above hers, staring at her for a few silent monts before blurting out, "Sumr Sutton, are you a pig?"
It wasn’t an insulting tone; rather, a bit of helplessness crept in.
Sumr Sutton couldn’t quite grasp the emotion behind his words.
She blinked, staring at him blankly, not understanding why he suddenly said that.
"Why wear yourself out every day? Clearly, you have soone beside you to rely on. Are you stupid?" Adrian said slowly, looking at her steadily.
Sumr Sutton widened her eyes, looking even more surprised at his gaze.
Why did she feel like he could see right through her?
Sumr was working so hard this ti not for any rewards, but to prove her abilities, to make herself better.
Her ultimate goal was only one: to reclaim her father’s company!
All her efforts now were paving the way for this ultimate goal.
Until she got the company back, she indeed had to work hard every day.
Was he telling her that she could rely on him for whatever she did?
Sumr Sutton dazedly looked up at Adrian Walyon’s precisely sculpted handso face, unable to react for a long ti to his words.
"Pig!" Adrian probably didn’t want to talk more, so he scolded her again, continuing to remove her clothes.
Though his words were blunt and critical, strangely enough, Sumr Sutton found them sowhat sweet...
