The words were very brief and distant.
Edward Hughes was sowhat surprised, not expecting his attitude to be so cold.
Tonight’s banquet was hosted by the Walyon Clan Group and the Hughes Family to celebrate a business collaboration.
Lorraine Hughes, as the future heir of the Hughes Family, was also one of the protagonists of the night.
Many eyes in the room were on her and Adrian Walyon, and ever since her appearance, quite a few employees had been whispering.
"Wow, I never expected Lorraine Hughes to have such a profound background, being the only daughter of such a big family business."
"Yes, she’s a heaven’s pride, a figure among the best!"
"With that kind of background, even if she quits acting one day, she’ll never have to worry about food or clothes for the rest of her life, right?"
"She and Young Master Walyon are actually quite a match, in terms of family, background, looks, there’s not much difference."
"What are you saying? Young Master Walyon is already married! Haven’t you heard how much he adores his new wife? Just don’t pair them up randomly."
The group’s discussions were in small, fragnted whispers.
Lorraine Hughes clung to Edward Hughes’ arm, obediently following by his side, as he led her to greet the main executives of both companies’ boards.
After circling the room, they finally ca to Adrian Walyon’s side.
"Young Master Walyon, if there’s anything I don’t understand in the future, I might need to trouble you more." Holding her glass, Lorraine Hughes first took a sip.
Adrian Walyon simply responded with a faint "mm" and drank the wine in his glass.
Edward Hughes stood beside him, and afterward talked with him about so matters regarding their business cooperation.

Sumr Sutton arrived at the company site at eight-thirty.
She didn’t ask Adrian Walyon to co out to et her; upon arriving, she walked in by herself.
There were more people than usual at the scene tonight.
Perhaps because Adrian Walyon and Lorraine Hughes both exuded an aura of celebrities, they were exceptionally eye-catching in the crowd. Sumr Sutton spotted the two conversing not far away with just one glance.
From Sumr Sutton’s angle, Adrian Walyon and Lorraine Hughes were standing quite close, and their backs even appeared sowhat intimate.
Beside her, seemingly unaware of her appearance, employees of the two companies continued their fragnted conversations.
"Do you think there’s any possibility between Young Master Walyon and Lorraine Hughes?"
"If it were possible, wouldn’t the family background created by these two families’ union be unbeatable?"
"The two of them really are a match! Both are so outstanding that they’re exceptional in every aspect, standing together they are a feast for the eyes."
"Stop it, Young Master Walyon is already married."
"So what? Who knows how long a marriage can last!"
There were many female employees present, and when a group of won gather, gossip is inevitable, and the chatter never ceased.
Sumr Sutton listened quietly to the group’s discussions, her gaze lingering.
She stood there dazed for quite so ti, neither moving nor going inside.
Adrian Walyon seed to sense her presence, his face slowly turning in her direction.
He stared at her for a few seconds, sowhat surprised by her unannounced appearance, losing his composure for a mont, before striding over to her.
"Why didn’t you say anything when you arrived? I could’ve sent soone to pick you up." As he arrived beside her in a few steps, he casually took off his suit jacket and draped it over her shoulders.
It was just the beginning of spring, and the chill of early spring lingered. Sumr Sutton was wearing a black cocktail dress, with a large part of her legs exposed, feeling sowhat cold.
Adjusting the clothing he draped over her, she said lightly, "I figured you must be busy, so I didn’t ntion it."
Seeing her, Adrian Walyon seed noticeably pleased.
