Adrian coldly retracted his gaze and stepped away.
The car trudged slowly along the road, and for the rest of the journey, Sumr Sutton behaved much more compliantly, not even daring to look at Adrian.
Her eyes fell on the scenery outside the window, watching the unfamiliar streets as she speculated in silence about Adrian's reasons for taking her.
This man was evidently not an ordinary person, acting so audaciously without fear of any threats she could muster, a background that ran deep and unknown.
Sumr Sutton was just a student who hadn't even graduated from college, having only been in this city for two years without knowing any significant figures here, let alone having the chance to get involved with one.
Why would soone like him target her?
Sumr simply couldn't figure it out.
Was it for money?
She was nothing but a penniless student, with nothing valuable to take.
Was it for so other reason?
Sumr unexpectedly shivered with a chill.

The car carrying her finally stopped at an independent villa.
When the car ca to a stop, Sumr stubbornly refused to get out.
Adrian stood outside the car door, looking down at her, his dark brows raised slightly.
"I won't go in with you!" Sumr clung tightly to the car door, putting up a last-ditch struggle.
She initially intended to waste so ti with him outside the door, hoping she could call for help if any passersby appeared.
But she didn't expect him to have no patience to bide ti with her.
With a flick of his sleeve, he bent over and carried her, striding into the villa with her in his arms.
"Bastard, let go of ! I can walk by myself!" Sumr struggled in his arms, trying to push him away.
The man holding her didn't even glance at her, continuing to walk straight ahead without veering his gaze.
Watching the gate move further away from her, while the garden's scenery unfolded before her eyes, Sumr felt both anxious and flustered, yet couldn't think of a solution.
Adrian had already brought her into the living room.
"Watch her closely!" he said as he plopped her onto the sofa, tossing a phrase to the person beside him before stepping aside to answer a sudden phone call.
Several bodyguards stood in the living room, along with a group of servants.
With everyone under their watchful eyes, escape was impossible.
Sumr sat stiffly on the sofa, her eyes darting around as she discreetly surveyed the room.
A vase was placed beside her. Sumr knew a bit about such things; she had read a museum book before, and this vase was an antique several centuries old, worth at least several billion.
For a casually placed decoration to have such value, it seed she had underestimated the man's background.
But still, why would such a man bring her here?
"What kind of position does your master hold?" Trying to get so information out of Adrian was futile, so Sumr attempted to pry from the servant beside him.
"Miss Sutton can ask the young master herself!" The servant bowed his head, showing respect to her.
"Do you know ?" Sumr asked in puzzlent.
The servant rely smiled and did not answer her question.
"Your young master seems to have quite the background?" Sumr tried probing further.
However, what awaited her was the servant's silence once again.
Clearly, no one intended to give her the answers.
Sumr had no choice but to give up.
Adrian finished his call and walked back in from the garden.
As he passed by Sumr, she suddenly grabbed hold of his wrist.
Adrian slowly halted his steps.
Sumr lifted her face and looked at him steadily, feeling powerless, "At the very least, you should tell who you are?"
He had inexplicably brought her to this place, leaving her in panic for so long, yet without giving her a single explanation?
