She was actually just trying to flirt, making conversation from nothing.
Adrian Walyon looked at the open pages of her book nonchalantly and reminded her expressionlessly, "Your book is upside down."
Sumr Sutton paused, flipped over the book to check, and felt a bit embarrassed.
Quickly correcting the book’s direction, she again placed it in front of him, "Can you explain this passage for ?"
"How to maintain creative passion?" Adrian glanced at the paragraph she pointed to, slowly raised his eyes to her, stared at her for a few seconds, and slowly said, "If you ask how to maintain the passion in a marriage, perhaps I could give you a better answer."
"..." Sumr Sutton was rendered speechless, discreetly staring at him while assessing him.
Was this considered teasing?
Is he no longer mad, or is he still mad?
Sumr Sutton couldn’t figure him out, awkwardly and quickly switching to another page in the book, "Another question."
Her grades in school have always been excellent.
She was admitted to the Film Academy as the first in the entire school, and her academic achievents have always been Sumr Sutton’s pride.
The content in the textbook, Sumr Sutton understood almost completely.
Turning to the questions for Adrian, she actually comprehended them thoroughly.
Right now, Sumr Sutton was just looking for sothing to do to pass the ti.
Whatever she asked, Adrian answered.
His tone was light, without any detectable emotions.
Until Sumr Sutton couldn’t even make up questions, running out of things to say.
However, she didn’t want to leave either.
If she leaves, would Adrian suddenly get mad like he did last night in the middle of the night?
Sumr Sutton couldn’t think of another way to flirt, so she casually started making him tea.
"Here, try this!" She poured a cup into a white jade porcelain cup and handed it to him.
Adrian took a sip and then continued with his work.
Sumr sat by his side, her gaze occasionally drifting in his direction, just quietly accompanying him.
This weekend, life for the two in Morning Garden was a bit leisurely.
Though still having minor squabbles and each doing their own thing, the atmosphere didn’t seem awkward.
It even felt like a serene passage of ti.
Adrian was still busy with work.
Sumr, sitting next to him, was extrely bored, and having gotten up relatively early this morning, started nodding off groggily.
As drowsiness overtook her, her head bobbed like a pecking chicken.
Eventually, unable to resist, she leaned against Adrian’s shoulder and fell asleep.
Adrian turned his head, unable to resist looking at her.
Sumr leaned obediently against his shoulder, her sleeping face peaceful.
Her appearance while asleep was far more endearing than usual, not bickering or angering anyone, just quietly like a delicate doll.
Adrian watched her quietly for a long while, giving her most of the sofa space, lifting her, and settling her comfortably on the sofa.
Sumr had a comfortable nap.
However, she hadn’t slept for even half an hour before a discordant phone ringtone woke her up.
Zoe Baxter called, showing no tact.
Sumr groggily found her phone and answered, "Zoe, what’s up?"
"Sumr, Iris and I are having a gathering outside; do you want to co along? The weather is so nice today! Join us! Co on!"
Zoe was relentlessly urging her over the phone.
Sumr had a great relationship with her roommates, and she would normally agree to such invitations.
But today, glancing at Adrian beside her, Sumr declined, "I can’t, I have so things here, maybe next ti!"
