Sumr Sutton was standing quite close to Gina Sutton, just over a ter apart, separated by a wall of rose flowers.
She could vaguely hear the man’s voice on the other end of the phone.
"Forgot that night so quickly?" Sumr Sutton could clearly tell that it was a man’s voice.
A stranger’s voice.
Gina seed extrely hateful towards the person, her pale fingers gripping the phone tightly.
"Having been in the Walyon Family for so many days, sleeping well?" The man’s voice rang out again on the other end of the phone.
Sumr Sutton listened quietly, her spine stiffened.
What was there for Gina to not sleep well about?
An expectant mother, carrying the Walyon Family’s heir in her belly, relying on this child to enter the Walyon Family and live the life of a Young Madam.
She was already living in the Walyon Family, shouldn’t she be falling asleep smiling every night?
Gina, with her back to Sumr Sutton, remained silent all the while.
Her body was trembling slightly, and Sumr, standing not far from her, could see it clearly.
What was she afraid of?
An action left Sumr Sutton dumbfounded again.
A cold laugh ca from the other end of the phone.
One after another, chilling to the bone.
It seed Gina had hit a sore spot, unable to endure the person’s voice, she forcefully pressed the button to end the call with her fingertips.
Sumr pulled back swiftly, afraid she’d be noticed.
Casually, she returned to the barbecue area.
Gina was still in the sa place, gripping the phone tightly, seemingly trying to suppress sothing.
While barbecuing, Sumr would occasionally glance in her direction.
It was quite a while after Sumr had returned that Gina ca back too, her face alarmingly pale, as if she had just struggled to control her emotions.
This sight of her stunned Sumr once more.
The servant, worried about her, went over and asked with concern, "Miss Sutton, are you alright?"
"I’m fine, I’ll just go back to my room for a bit!" Gina replied flatly, holding her head down as she headed back inside.
Sumr’s eyes followed her figure, her mind suddenly recalling that phone call.
She pondered quietly, lost in thought, and the barbecue tongs in her hands clattered to the ground.
"What’s wrong? What are you thinking about?" Sophie Walyon ca over and helped her pick up the tongs from the ground.
Sumr didn’t respond to him, instead turning her head to look in the direction where Gina had gone.
Gina didn’t even co out for lunch, staying in her room until the Old Master sent snacks to her.
For the rest of the day, she stayed locked in her room, claiming she had no appetite and didn’t co out.
Eleven o’clock at night.
Adrian Walyon had gone to the office to work overti and hadn’t returned yet.
Sumr, burdened with thoughts, couldn’t sleep at all.
She didn’t go upstairs, instead sitting alone in the living room downstairs, not even turning on the lights, initially just planning to wait for Adrian to co back.
Unexpectedly, past twelve o’clock, Gina ca downstairs again.
These past two days, every ti she received a call, she would leave the main house, probably wary of the many people inside who would occasionally pass by outside.
She hurriedly walked, still without turning on the lights, feeling her way down the stairs to the terrace.
"Go ahead, state your conditions, mine is only one, never appear in my life!"
It was late at night, and Sumr could hear her talking very clearly.
Although she was deliberately keeping her voice low.
Sumr knew that on the line with her must have been the man from the past two days.
