Just leaning against him like this, with her head resting on his chest, listening to his lively and powerful heartbeat, it was hard to tell how much ti passed before Sumr Sutton snapped back to reality, and only then did she begin to feel frightened.
Thinking about the danger just monts ago, cold sweat started pouring from her.
She trembled as she raised her arms, wanting to hug Adrian Walyon, but unexpectedly found that his shirt’s back was completely soaked.
He sweated even more from cold sweat than Sumr Sutton did.
Compared to Sumr Sutton, it seed he was even more terrified by what had happened!
No one could imagine the pain of witnessing the person you love die right before your eyes.
A man who never knew fear, yet every panic he experienced seed to be because of her!
Earlier, when Sumr Sutton’s film crew was trapped in the mountains, it was the sa; this ti as well.
Sumr Sutton lifted her face and stared at his pale face for a good while before stiffly hugging him.
"Sir, can I trouble both of you to co back with us to make a statent?" Nearby, the policeman’s voice ca.
Adrian Walyon snapped back to reality, holding Sumr Sutton as they got into the police car.
After entering the police station, he accompanied Sumr Sutton in giving her statent.
The policeman took a pen, ready to write down all the Q&A.
"Miss, could you tell us the detailed circumstances of the incident?" Just as the topic opened up, Adrian Walyon coldly interjected, "Madam!"
He was correcting the policeman’s words, as Sumr Sutton was already married, and he clearly disapproved of her being called "Miss."
The policeman helplessly corrected his phrasing, "Madam, could you please tell us?"
As soon as the words were out, Adrian Walyon interrupted again, "Madam Walyon!"
The policeman, "..."
The policeman responsible for taking Sumr Sutton’s statent was severely disrupted.
He frowned deeply, almost ready to throw him out in anger.
But considering the opponent’s status, he held back.
Taking a deep breath, the policeman once again corrected his phrasing, "Madam Walyon, could you tell us?"
"I left work later than usual today, and when I walked out from Ariella Sawyer’s place, I hailed a car by the roadside..." Sumr Sutton slowly recounted all the details of the incident.
She spent quite a while at the police station, and when she ca out, it was already late at night.
The injuries on her hand hadn’t been treated; Adrian Walyon dragged her into the car and drove her back to her apartnt.
Sumr Sutton wasn’t seriously injured; the wounds on her hand were all from scraping against the ground when she fell.
They’re just superficial wounds, nothing serious, a little ointnt would do.
Adrian Walyon held her hand, applying dicine as he casually said, "If you work late in the future, call ."
Pausing for a mont, as if guessing how she might respond, he added, "No matter how late, I will be there!"
Sumr Sutton did not bicker with him this ti and softly said, "Okay."
Adrian Walyon finished applying the dicine and held her as they slept through the night.
The next day, Sumr Sutton still went to the film crew very early.
Ariella Sawyer’s health had significantly improved, and she had already arrived when Sumr Sutton got there.
Upon seeing the injury on her arm and asking about it, Ariella Sawyer was silent for a while before exclaiming a na, "Could this matter be related to Molly Sterling? She was just dismissed from the crew, and now you’ve had an incident. Maybe she’s taking revenge out of imbalance?"
Sumr Sutton actually suspected the sa.
Molly Sterling was the most likely culprit.
"This woman is really lawless, doing such vicious things, having a backer doesn’t make it okay!" Ariella Sawyer continued to sympathize with Sumr Sutton.
