Sumr Sutton arrived at the guest room, gently stroking the petal of a rose on the balcony, and inadvertently lost herself in thought.
Even though she always felt that Adrian’s attentiveness to her was faultless, regarding today’s matter, Sumr still believed Adrian shouldn’t have gone.
Going would only give others reason to yearn for him, wouldn’t it?
Sumr felt a heaviness in her heart, blocking out the rest of the world as she closed the door after entering the guest room.
She opened the closet, found so old clothes, took a shower, and just like that, fell asleep.
She didn’t believe it; this was Morning Garden, her ho, and Adrian couldn’t just kick the door down like he did at her apartnt.
Staying at Morning Garden, Sumr felt relatively at ease.
Adrian sat on the sofa downstairs, irritably pouring himself a drink, gulping it down, yet his mood showed no improvent, so he poured himself another.
After Sumr went to the room upstairs, not a sound could be heard from her.
Looking at the garden, Adrian noticed there was no light from her room, guessing she must have fallen asleep.
She slept well; while they had argued, Adrian was too restless downstairs to sleep, yet she simply went to sleep.
Adrian felt several impulses to go upstairs, wake her, and resolve their conflict in their usual way.

Both guilt and heartache burdened him.
Suppressing the urge to wake her, Adrian sat alone on the sofa, restlessly, for the entire night.

The next day, when Sumr awoke, the winter landscape of Morning Garden greeted her.
It was just the beginning of winter, not too cold, the maple trees in Morning Garden still red, touching the sky.
Unity lay on her bed, seeing her awake, squinting contentedly, licking her hand with tenderness.
Such a morning felt as beautiful as one a year ago.
Except for the figure still sitting downstairs, everything about returning to Morning Garden seed perfect to Sumr.
Descending the stairs, Adrian looked weary, seemingly having hardly slept all night.
"Awake," he greeted her casually.
"I have to go back!" Sumr’s apartnt still had a ss Adrian made last night waiting for her to clean up.
Cuddling Unity and wanting to leave, Adrian’s gruff voice unexpectedly interrupted, "Your ho is here, where are you going?"
Sumr paid him no mind, intending to leave, but Adrian moved swiftly like a wolf, blocking her path.
Though Adrian carefully reconsidered that he should be more considerate of her feelings last night, once provoked by her, he acted recklessly again.
He grabbed her, carrying her upstairs, back to the master bedroom, and thudded her onto the bed.
"I’ll get people to clean up your place. Anything you need will be sorted and sent over, now that you’re ho, stay properly!"
What he really wanted to say was, you aren’t going anywhere today!
Yet, seeing the anger in her eyes, he softened his tone.
