"Mhm." Adrian Walyon leaned against the car door with his arms crossed in front of him, quietly staring at her.
Sumr Sutton was still wearing the gown she had on stage; due to the cold weather, she casually threw a coat over it.
She was wearing high heels, yet walked briskly. While approaching Adrian, she twisted her ankle several tis in just that short distance.
Sumr seed to be in so pain, furrowing her brows and rubbing her ankle repeatedly.
Adrian walked over to her and picked her up, opened the car door, and placed her in the passenger seat.
"I wasn’t expecting to pass today. At the ti, my thought was purely out of desperation, a ’let’s see how it goes’ ntality," Sumr tightened her coat around herself, chatting about her backstage experience.
Adrian listened quietly from start to finish without interrupting.
His gaze remained on her, and as it fell on the white dress she wore, he recalled the mont she was on stage.
This was the first ti Adrian saw Sumr dressed in a wedding gown.
It was just a borrowed gown she grabbed on the fly, with casual makeup and hairstyle, and with no hint of embellishnt.
Adrian watched her and suddenly thought of the day when she would wear a white veil for him; she would surely be even more beautiful than tonight, right?
As he thought about it, Adrian suddenly began to look forward to it...
By the ti they returned to Morning Garden, it was already late.
That night, the program Sumr Sutton produced continued to stir online.
Throughout the night, Twitter was filled with topics about her.
The spontaneous program Sumr created surprisingly achieved an unexpected result.
With such a high level of buzz and clicks, Sumr Sutton indisputably won first place in this intern production competition, and along with that, the rumor of her being Adrian Walyon’s wife spread across the internet overnight.
Lorraine Hughes saw the news the following day.
At breakfast, her assistant opened Twitter for her, and after seeing the trending topics, Lorraine remained speechless for quite a while...
...
The following day, when Sumr Sutton went to the company, she found herself receiving quite a bit of attention from colleagues.
Everywhere she went, she’d receive people’s gazes.
Previously aloof colleagues suddenly beca much more friendly, proactively offering her tea, helping her with tasks, and so on.
One colleague softly confird with her, "Sumr, I heard you’re Adrian Walyon’s wife?"
Sumr, engrossed in organizing docunts, didn’t want to be overly scrutinized in the company in the future, and without much thinking, directly denied it, "No, it’s nothing like that, just a resemblance in looks. How could I have such good luck?"
"Really? I thought so; how could a student who hasn’t even graduated college hook up with Adrian Walyon?" With that, the colleague’s enthusiasm vanished, and she took back the coffee she’d already made for Sumr and drank it herself.
Her attitude shifted faster than flipping a page, but Sumr didn’t mind at all and continued her work.
The colleague who had sought confirmation, likely feeling a bit jealous, imdiately posted the affirmation online after getting Sumr’s reply.
By just midday, Sumr’s identity transford online into that of an unmarried college student.
Sumr still didn’t care; how online speculation about her played out mattered little to her.
However, what she did not expect was that an unexpected event happened after work in the afternoon.
Sumr received a date invitation via a call from a popular male artist in the company...
