Although Adrian Walyon didn’t care for the Walyons, he knew Sumr Sutton also certainly didn’t care for that family.
However, if her relationship with the family could ease, she wouldn’t be so exhausted in their marriage.
Sumr Sutton was silent for a while after his words, seemingly hesitating.
She really didn’t want to go back.
She had her pride and dignity; the place that drove her away once before, she never wanted to return to.
But today, the request was made by Adrian Walyon.
Not wanting him to be caught between her and the Walyons, Sumr Sutton struggled and ultimately agreed.
Adrian Walyon turned the car around and drove her to Royal Delight.
The Old Master’s birthday was a major event for the Walyon Family, making family mbers start busy preparations early every year.
Not ntioning how many people would be invited to the birthday celebration, all relatives from different branches would definitely be invited.
This year, there seed to be more people than in previous years; when Adrian Walyon’s car arrived, he saw so unfamiliar license plates.
Due to picking up Sumr Sutton, he was a bit late.
Before he even stepped in, Diana Wood, probably afraid he wouldn’t show up at such an occasion tonight, started calling frantically.
"Adrian, I’m telling you, you must co tonight! You’re grandpa’s eldest grandson, and with all our relatives and friends here today, if you don’t co, aren’t you telling everyone you and grandpa don’t get along?"
Adrian Walyon ignored her, hung up the phone, and helped Sumr Sutton out of the car.
Sumr Sutton stood outside the Walyon Family’s gate, looked up at the family plaque above, and felt slightly uneasy.
This was her first ti coming back in over a year.
She never forgot how disgraceful it was when she left; now returning without any prior notice, she didn’t need to think to know that the Old Master and Diana would certainly not give her a pleasant reception.
She stood at the doorway, her feet not moving.
Adrian Walyon glanced back at her, noticed her concerns, and pulled her close, gently holding her hand.
"Besides , don’t mind anyone else, don’t look at anyone else, don’t care about anyone else! Just do these things, and I’ll handle everything else!"
He was comforting her.
The main reason why Sumr Sutton left this family a year ago was actually that he wasn’t around then.
If he were there, he wouldn’t have let her suffer such grievances.
Sumr Sutton quietly gazed at him for a mont, looking into his deep, dark eyes, and her lips slightly curled up; she nodded gently, "Alright."
Adrian Walyon led her towards the inside of the mansion.
Upon entering the banquet hall, there were already many guests present.
Adrian Walyon held Sumr Sutton’s hand and threaded through the crowd, calmly responding to people who greeted him.
The Old Master of the Walyon Family sat at a chair in the center of the hall; from the mont Sumr Sutton appeared, he noticed her entering.
His gaze lingered on her for a while, scrutinizing her up and down repeatedly, with a slightly tense face showing no discernible expression.
Diana Wood also noticed Sumr Sutton entering the house, staring at her for a long ti, fearing the Old Master would be enraged after seeing her; she hurried over before Adrian Walyon brought Sumr Sutton to et the elder.
