Sumr Sutton originally thought that after being away for so long due to the accident, she would definitely be rejected when trying to return.
Even if she weren’t rejected, she thought she would be evaluated for a while, given even more difficult tests than last ti’s competition, before being allowed back.
Unexpectedly, once Sumr returned and explained her disappearance, the departnt manager said nothing and directly allowed her to continue working at the company.
Sumr was extrely happy and worked even harder throughout the day.
In the evening, Adrian Walyon booked a private room at a restaurant, planning to introduce Sumr Sutton to the family.
During Sumr’s disappearance, Paul Walyon and Adrian were just as busy; although the Old Master didn’t say it outright, Adrian could see the old man was sowhat worried about Sumr.
Now that she’s back, at least let the family see her.
He organized a feast inviting all mbers of the Walyon Family without distinguishing between households.
Sumr didn’t refuse this ti and went straight to the restaurant after work.
She wasn’t against eting the Walyons, she resisted being told to return ho after everything happened.
After driving out and getting stuck in traffic for dozens of minutes, Sumr arrived when all the Walyons were already there.
Bryce Walyon was also present, sitting in a seat directly facing the doorway.
When Sumr appeared energetically at the private room door, Bryce was the first to notice her.
Staring at her, seeing not a trace of injury and her face rosy, Bryce was lost for quite a while, seemingly better than before.
Once Sumr walked in, she briefly glanced around the room and then looked away.
Sitting next to Adrian, she said nothing and quietly started eating her al after it was served.
Diana Wood felt a bit displeased with her.
She was Adrian’s mother after all, and eting without even a greeting?
Her displeasure with Sumr wasn’t a new thing; Sumr didn’t pay her any mind and continued eating quietly.
Ryan Walyon was also at the table, and while eating, his gaze wandered towards Sumr several tis.
He quietly observed her, checking for any injuries she might have.
Bryce, seated next to him, saw this and couldn’t help but have his expression turn sullen.
"Have we figured out what caused it this ti?" In the midst of eating, the Old Master suddenly asked.
Bryce was drinking his soup, and the sudden question almost caused him to burn himself with the hot soup.
"The kidnappers are gone, but I won’t let go of this matter," Adrian replied calmly to the Old Master.
"Did you typically have feuds with anyone?" The Old Master pondered, then asked again.
"No!" This ca from Sumr, her voice loud and confident.
She was never soone who would provoke issues; she wouldn’t bother anyone if left alone, and didn’t want to be misunderstood as soone who makes enemies everywhere.
"Well, keep investigating and see if anything can be found," the Old Master didn’t say much more, simply dropping a remark before quietly continuing to eat.
Bryce listened quietly to their conversation, then let out a slight snort.
After eating for a while, he suddenly said, "Sumr, what exactly did you go through this ti and how did you get back?"
The sudden question made Adrian and Ryan both look at him.
