"Still have plans with friends?" Adrian Walyon didn’t miss his slight movent and asked casually.
"Yeah." Ryan Walyon replied, curling his lips indifferently, "No worries, I’ll cancel. Let’s continue."
After drinking the whiskey in his glass, he poured another for himself and Adrian Walyon.
The entire bottle of whiskey was gradually decreasing.
The whiskey was strong and had a high proof. After two glasses, Adrian rembered he needed to go back to handle work affairs, so he stood up.
"Alright, I really have to get back to work now. If you have nothing to do, you can co to the office with !" He stood up, grabbed his coat, and headed out of the restaurant with big strides.
Outside the restaurant on the road, he hailed a car and got in. By the ti Ryan ca out, Adrian was already in the car.
Ryan stared absentmindedly in the direction he left, then hailed a car from behind and followed.
Adrian’s car was driving ahead, heading towards Morningview Group.
Morningview Group was located in a quiet spot in the busy city center, surrounded by tranquility.
At night, after nine o’clock, there were basically no people around.
The surroundings were full of office buildings that were deserted after work hours.
For the past few days since Adrian arrived, only the light in his office was on every night.
Today, his office light was on again, the only light in Morningview Tower. His assistant assud he would return to work overti and turned on the light in advance.
Adrian’s car was still moving towards Morningview Group. As he arrived outside the building and was about to get off, he suddenly heard a loud explosion, and imdiately, the whole building was engulfed in flas.
The situation ca so suddenly that there wasn’t even ti to clearly see what had happened.
Adrian was standing at the entrance of the company. If he had taken one more step forward, he would have been blown away by the blast’s impact.
The driver who brought him back was stunned, looking in shock at the building consud by fierce flas, his face pale with fear.
Ryan’s car also arrived at the scene at this mont. He looked up at the building, seeing only the flas and nothing else. His gaze shifted stiffly to Adrian standing ahead.
Adrian stood before the flas, seemingly lost in thought.
His gaze lingered on the sea of fire for a while, staring blankly, silent for who knows how long, then turned his head stiffly towards Ryan behind him.
Adrian squinted his eyes, his gaze sharp as he looked at him.
"As long as everyone’s safe, that’s what matters. Let’s go back. We can investigate the cause of the incident properly tomorrow," Ryan said as he threw the words to him and got in the car first.
