Adrian Walyon still ignored her, casually picking up a toy to play with.
Sumr Sutton’s earlier words were just sothing she said offhandedly.
He didn’t answer, and she didn’t press the question further.
"I’m going to prepare lunch." She tossed the words to him and headed to the kitchen.
The Sutton Family’s mansion had been unoccupied for so long that things were sowhat old, even the kitchen wasn’t that convenient to use.
While preparing lunch inside, Sumr Sutton found there was no gas, the induction stove lost power several tis, and the oven and refrigerator were all unusable.
However, this didn’t seem to affect Sumr Sutton’s mood upon returning here one bit.
She clattered around in the kitchen, made a few simple dishes, and even prepared a local River City snack, considering lunch complete.
"Lunch is ready!" She moved a small dining table to the courtyard, served Adrian Walyon a bowl of rice, "Make do with this for now. Once I have enough money, I will definitely restore this place to how it was when Dad was here."
She spoke with confidence, her lips slightly curved, full of determination.
Adrian Walyon listened quietly, saying nothing but he kept her words in mind.
At noon, the two of them had a simple lunch together, and in the afternoon, Sumr Sutton continued tidying up the mansion, going up and down.
She ran around energetically and didn’t feel tired climbing up and down.
"I can handle these tasks." Adrian Walyon, concerned she might get tired, reminded her.
"It’s okay, just so small tasks." Sumr Sutton didn’t listen, continuing with what she was doing.
She moved a step ladder, stood high to clean the windows, but suddenly a wave of dizziness hit her.
Sumr Sutton’s vision blurred, and under Adrian Walyon’s startled gaze, her body leaned back and fell straight toward the ground...
Adrian Walyon’s expression changed, he rushed toward her in large strides, catching her steadily in his arms before her body hit the ground.
"What’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell? I’ll take you to see the doctor." He looked down at her in his arms, ready to carry her out.
Sumr Sutton couldn’t quite explain where she felt unwell, she just suddenly felt dizzy.
In truth, her ntal state hadn’t been good the past few days, eating little and lacking energy.
She attributed her earlier actions to being overworked.
Pressing down Adrian Walyon’s hand, she stopped him, "It’s nothing, maybe I’ve just been busy today, a little tired. I’ll be fine after so rest."
"Then get a good rest." Adrian Walyon didn’t see anything seriously wrong with her and carried her to her room.
Sumr Sutton planned to rest for a bit after returning to her room, but unexpectedly, she slept for several hours.
When she woke, the house was noisy, as if there were many people, with clinking sounds heard now and then.
Sumr Sutton paused, opened her room door, and slowly walked out.
In the mansion, a group of workers was renovating the already sowhat aged building.
The paint was being redone, the exterior was being rebuilt, the garden was being tidied up, and even all the furnishings inside were being replaced with new ones.
