Sumr Sutton stared at her, suddenly feeling uncomfortable.
She felt nothing towards Diana Wood, but Diana was Adrian Walyon’s mother.
Given her relationship with Adrian Walyon, Sumr Sutton opened the door, "Madam, co in! It’s cold outside!"
She didn’t call Diana "Mom", just kept calling her "Madam" repeatedly.
Adrian Walyon also called Diana "Madam Walyon", Diana was used to it before, but now, it felt like a stab to the heart.
If in the future there was a grandson or granddaughter who didn’t call her Grandma, but called her Madam like their parents did, Diana felt her heart might shatter into pieces.
Diana was extrely dissatisfied with Sumr Sutton’s address, but after glaring at her for a long ti, she couldn’t say anything.
Forget it, she owed this girl!
Following Sumr Sutton into the house, Diana ladled out the soup she brought and only after watching Sumr drink it all did she feel at ease.
"How’s the child these days?" Starting the conversation, she asked about what she cared about the most.
"Pretty good." Sumr Sutton’s tone was indifferent.
"When are you planning to move back ho?" Diana continued to ask.
Before Sumr Sutton could answer, Adrian Walyon walked down from upstairs, and indifferently threw her a line, "Morning Garden is pretty good, why move back?"
That brat!
Diana gritted her teeth, almost spitting blood out from anger.
He’s living well here, but with so many people at ho not seeing Sumr Sutton every day, how can they feel at ease?
"If Madam Walyon has nothing else, you should head back early!" As soon as Adrian Walyon ca downstairs, he started giving her the boot.
Diana and he simply had no words to say; anything said would make her so angry with Adrian Walyon she might cough up blood.
Casting him a resentful glare, Diana left Morning Garden with her head down.
...
Once she left, several days passed and she hadn’t appeared again.
On the fifth day, Morning Garden welcod a special guest, Old Master Walyon.
Sumr Sutton’s move from the Walyon Family even startled the old master...
The old man must’ve endured for several days, unable to sit still any longer, and personally ca over despite his pride.
Sumr Sutton invited him into the house, and after Old Master took a seat, he gently swirled his teacup, seemingly grappling with sothing.
After hesitating for a while, his face slowly lifted up.
"What happened a year ago, the Walyon Family wronged you." Slowly he opened up, his pace was slow as if he had deliberated for a long ti before saying these words.
"I know this matter has always been a knot in your heart, you have always cared a lot, but since you married Adrian and don’t plan on separating, and now that you have a child, you must accept the fact that you’re part of the Walyon Family."
Standing up, with his back to Sumr Sutton, his gaze shifted elsewhere, his voice still soft, "In the past, indeed, I’ve wronged you in many ways. Promising the Sutton Family and the Walyons’ marriage was a promise to take good care of you for your grandfather, but after you ca to the Walyons, I didn’t fulfill the responsibilities I should have, I also wronged your grandfather..."
The old man seed a bit sentintal ntioning these things.
What kind of person was Old Master Walyon?
In the Walyon Family, and even across the entire country, he has always held an exalted status.
Majestic and sacred, never to be violated; whatever he said and did was followed without question by others.
Even if he was wrong, it was considered right, who dared speak a word against it?
Yet today, for the sake of his great-grandchild, he admitted his past year’s mistakes...
