Sumr Sutton carefully explained a lot over the phone and then arranged to et him at a café.
When Marshall arrived, he brought along a stack of docunts as she had requested.
They were all the latest itinerary details of Bryce Walyon.
Sumr Sutton picked up a sheet, noted down the location and ti of his most recent schedule, and Marshall took charge of driving her to the spot.
Bryce Walyon’s latest appointnt was at a café, where he planned to discuss so business matters with soone.
To avoid being recognized, Sumr Sutton stayed in the car and left everything for Marshall to handle.
Marshall was a very efficient young man, with a brisk walk and a reliable work ethic.
Once inside, after sitting for a while at the café, Marshall approached Bryce Walyon’s table when he went to the restroom.
The person Bryce had arranged to et hadn’t arrived yet, so the table was vacant once he left.
Probably afraid of getting his wristwatch wet while washing his hands, Bryce had left his watch on the table.
As Marshall passed by Bryce’s table, he swiftly picked up the watch, blocking the restaurant’s surveillance with his body, fiddled with it for a mont with his fingers, and then casually placed it back.
Returning to his own table, he called a waiter, paid the bill, and quietly left the café.
"Is it done?" Sumr Sutton opened the car door for him.
"Done, a piece of cake!" Marshall gave her a reassuring look.
Sumr Sutton let out a sigh of relief, started the car, and left the scene, ready to await the results.
She had sent Marshall in to install a bug on Bryce Walyon.
Sumr Sutton just wanted to find out if there was anything shady about Bryce, and installing a bug was the only way she could think of.
Marshall had tampered with Bryce’s watch, disguising the bug as a button on the watch, making it look just like the original and hard to detect.
After returning, Sumr Sutton kept monitoring Bryce for several days.
She wanted to see if she could overhear him say sothing incriminating, but even after four or five days of Marshall’s bug being on Bryce’s watch, nothing of significance was overheard.
Everything Bryce had said was related to mundane life matters...
This made Sumr Sutton sowhat puzzled.
