The man in the wheelchair still didn’t respond at all.
Alexander Winslow shrugged helplessly, not asking further.
As he pushed the wheelchair, Alexander greeted others at the scene, "President Chapman, what a coincidence!"
"President Chase, you’re here too!"
"Good afternoon, Mr. Lee!"
Sumr Sutton stood behind, her gaze followed the direction the two left, then turned to the petals in her palm.
The cherry blossom petal that had just fallen from the man’s hand in the wheelchair; April cherry blossoms, carrying a slight chill, just like the temperature of his palm.
Sumr Sutton stared at the petal, her lips suddenly curled up slightly...
After Alexander Winslow arrived, he pushed the man in the wheelchair around the venue, chatting with clients one by one.
Sumr Sutton stood not far from them at any given mont, her eyes following the silhouette of the man in the wheelchair, never averting.
She was about five or six ters away from them, yet Sumr Sutton felt it wasn’t enough. She casually went to the self-service area and took a glass of champagne, then walked directly behind the two.
Her concern for the two was excessively obvious.
Alexander Winslow noticed her behind him, turned his head to look at her.
With a grin, showing a set of white teeth, Alexander Winslow greeted her proactively, "Hi, I’m Alexander Winslow!"
Sumr Sutton smiled and nodded at him, gracefully doing her self-introduction, "I’m Sumr Sutton, the current person in charge of Morningview Group."
Alexander Winslow was always talkative, whether talking to acquaintances or strangers.
Having only t Sumr Sutton twice, after self-introduction, he left the man in the wheelchair and started chatting warmly with her.
He talked not about business affairs but purely engaged in small talk.
Chatting about the weather today, opinions on how the business summit was organized, and liking the self-service here, etc.
He seed to forget who he ca with; after Sumr Sutton arrived, the man in the wheelchair was thoroughly ignored by him.
Sumr Sutton accompanied him in the chat, but couldn’t help turning her head to stare at the man in front of them.
There was no expression on the face of the man in the wheelchair, presumably thinking their voices were sowhat noisy, and he pushed the wheelchair himself towards a quieter place in the garden.
Sumr Sutton’s gaze followed his figure moving; when he was far away, she suddenly changed the topic, "The friend you ca with, is his leg injured?"
"Yeah." Alexander Winslow responded to her.
"Is it very serious?" Sumr Sutton pursued the question.
She seed sowhat anxious; Alexander Winslow could even hear concern from her words.
Such a deanor from her made Alexander Winslow sowhat startled.
Sumr Sutton detected her own lapse, a bit embarrassed.
Casually sipping the champagne, her expression returned to calmness, "Just think that sitting in a wheelchair is inconvenient, regardless of who it is."
"Oh." Alexander Winslow nodded in agreent.
Sumr Sutton gave him a sidelong glance and tentatively asked, "Mr. Winslow studied dicine; everyone knows that. Can Mr. Winslow heal your friend’s leg injury?"
She kept bringing the topic back to the man’s leg injury from earlier.
Alexander Winslow squinted slightly, his eyes carrying a trace of inquiry, "Worried about him?"
Sumr Sutton, "..."
"Do you know each other?" Alexander Winslow pursued further.
Sumr Sutton, "..."
His question was straightforward; Sumr Sutton suddenly didn’t know how to answer.
If she said they knew each other, but obviously Adrian Walyon doesn’t recognize her now!
