"Just mistook you for soone else." The man in the wheelchair responded to him indifferently.
Alexander Winslow had prepared a bunch of gossip to ask about, but he didn’t expect to be completely blocked by that one sentence.
Finding it utterly boring, Alexander dropped the topic, lowered his face, and continued to check on his leg injury.
The two of them stayed in the lounge for quite a while, and when they ca out, it had already been an hour.
When the door opened, Sumr Sutton was still standing outside.
Alexander was surprised to see her again.
Sumr ignored him, her gaze floated past him to the man in the wheelchair behind him.
Staring at his leg, her worry was evident.
She wanted to inquire about the situation, but the man in the wheelchair casually said two words to Alexander, "Let’s go!"
He seed to not notice Sumr standing beside him, quietly wheeling himself forward.
This aloofness left Sumr’s mind sowhat blank.
She stood rigidly in place, her eyes following his figure; for a mont, she truly doubted if she had mistaken him.
No matter what reason Adrian Walyon had, Sumr believed that as long as this man was Adrian, he would never be so indifferent to her!
Yet, after a brief mont of doubt, she swept away the uncertainty in her mind.
She should follow her intuition; Sumr was sure she wouldn’t mistake Adrian!
The two ahead didn’t look back after leaving the lounge and returned to the conference site, blending into conversations with others.
Sumr stood by the lounge door for quite a while before returning to the conference site. She went to the buffet area, grabbed a glass of champagne, took a sip, and quietly searched for and watched the man wearing the mask.
Her fingertips tapped the crystal glass repeatedly as she considered how to approach him again.
No matter what, she had to see the face beneath his mask!
After pondering for quite a while, carrying two glasses of champagne, she slowly walked toward the man.
Alexander and the masked man were conversing with Shining Sky Group’s clients.
Sumr stepped forward gracefully in her high heels, smiled at the man in the wheelchair, handed him a glass of champagne, and extended her fair hand, "It’s a pleasure to et you, Mr. Bennet! I’m Sumr Sutton from Morningview Group!"
Most people use their right hand for a handshake, but she extended her left hand.
Her slender fingers were so perfectly beautiful they seed like they were sculpted from jade, and once extended, the ring on her ring finger was exceptionally conspicuous, as the embedded diamond glead more brilliantly than sunlight.
That was her wedding ring with Adrian Walyon, and since Adrian put it on her finger, she rarely removed it except for bathing and washing her face.
The man in the wheelchair paused for a mont as he looked at her hand.
Sumr had no intention of withdrawing her hand, her lips curved, her smile radiant.
Her smile caused the man in the wheelchair’s expression to freeze slightly.
He was almost certain she extended her left hand.
She was using her left hand; she wanted him to respond with his left hand, didn’t she?
Sumr raised her delicate eyebrows, still waiting for his response.
She was doing it deliberately!
She wanted to see if his left hand was adorned with the sa ring, the other half of the wedding band.
After hesitating for a mont following her words, the man reached out his hand.
As Sumr wished, he extended his left hand.
