Thinking about Sumr Sutton, as they walked, Alexander Winslow began chatting with him.
"By the way, do you really not know that girl from last night?"
"Yeah." The man in front replied to him with a single word.
Alexander seed quite pleased to hear this. He halted and casually said, "Really? That’s great! Then I’ll pursue her, and you stay out of it!"
The man’s face noticeably darkened, even with a mask on, you could sense it.
The chill around him was intense, and when he slowly turned his gaze towards Alexander, his eyes were icy enough to chop him into pieces.
With a cold smile, he slowly squeezed out a sentence, "Only if you have the guts!"
Alexander was stumped by his words, and the enthusiasm that had just risen was instantly doused completely.
Was this a warning?
"I was just talking, why so serious? If you outright admit she’s your woman, who else would dare have such thoughts?" With a snort, Alexander rolled his eyes and muttered to himself, "Clearly you care so much for her, yet you pretend not to know her, isn’t that tiring?"
"Mind your own business!" the masked man tossed a phrase over to him as he slowly made his way out of the company building.
It was already past seven at this ti.
As he walked, he suddenly recalled what Sumr Sutton said when they parted tonight.
His gaze slowly lifted, and he unconsciously stared at Shining Sky Tower against the night sky.
At this hour, Shining Sky employees had long since clocked out.
He and Alexander Winslow were the last two to leave, so naturally, the entrance was empty, not a soul in sight.
Staring quietly at the serene and deserted entrance, he felt inexplicably lost.
After stepping out, prepared to head directly to the car, a white sports car suddenly blocked his way.
The familiar license plate number made his gaze freeze.
The car door of the sports car opened, and a pair of slender legs erged as Sumr Sutton stepped out.
"Sorry, I’m late. Have you been waiting for long?" she lifted her face and flashed him a sweet smile.
What she said was beyond shaless; even Adrian Walyon wouldn’t utter sothing like that.
Standing outside the entrance, how did he end up waiting for her?
The masked man was about to say sothing when Alexander, from a distance, chid in, "Yep, he’s been waiting for you here for ages! Tonight, the task of giving him a ride is up to you, Miss Sutton!"
Disregarding the blackened face of the masked man, Alexander whistled, got into his car, and drove off.
After he left, Sumr Sutton’s heart felt more at ease.
She had banked on the fact that Adrian Walyon had an injured leg and couldn’t drive, so once Alexander left, he would have no choice but to rely on her getting him back.
Once she got him ho, she could do whatever she liked with him.
"Let’s go!" Her lips curved in an unrelenting smile as Sumr Sutton helped him into the car.
The man was clearly displeased, but there wasn’t much he could do about it.
Sumr Sutton hopped into the car with him, and as the car was driving, she suddenly blurted out, "Adrian Walyon, seriously tell , when you ca out earlier, did you feel disappointed not seeing ?"
The man furrowed his brows at the ntion of "Adrian Walyon."
His lips moved, as if he wanted to correct her.
But before he could speak, Sumr Sutton corrected herself, "I got it, Mr. Bennet!"
The masked man, "..."
Sumr Sutton seed quite curious about this question, her gaze turned towards him as she awaited his answer.
