As she thought about it, Sumr Sutton couldn’t help but let a smile creep up her lips.
Watt Bennet was focused on work, and Sumr Sutton just watched him, laughing quietly as if she’d struck a jackpot.
She probably didn’t even realize how starry-eyed her gaze had beco.
Not knowing how long she had been staring at him, suddenly, the man who had been burying his face slowly lifted his head.
Sumr Sutton couldn’t retract her gaze in ti and bumped right into his.
"Miss Sutton!" he called her na slowly.
"Yes!" Sumr Sutton stood up straight and responded to him.
Putting the notebook aside, Watt Bennet’s gaze slowly swept across her face, as he said expressionlessly, "Can you put away that smile on your face?"
Sumr Sutton was taken aback by his words and quickly composed herself, imdiately returning to a serious deanor, "Like this?"
Watt Bennet glanced at her sideways, his forehead seemingly twitched twice.
How did he not notice before that she could be so cheeky?
Sumr Sutton didn’t feel there was anything wrong with her behavior; indicating with her eyes at the notebook next to him, she reminded him, "You can continue!"
Watt Bennet darkened his expression and retracted his gaze, resuming his work.
Sumr Sutton continued watching him, now even closer than before.
Sitting next to him, her face close to his, with her hand supporting her chin, she unabashedly scrutinized him.
Watt Bennet was working, yet being watched with such focused eyes, anyone would be unable to continue.
After being stared at for a good while, he closed the notebook, lifting his face again, "Miss Sutton!"
Sumr Sutton looked at him dazedly, not understanding what she did.
Watt Bennet took a deep breath, coldly reminded her, "We’re not well-acquainted; isn’t staying here overnight improper?"
Pausing for a mont, he reminded, "You should go back!"
He was issuing an eviction notice, yet Sumr Sutton didn’t take his words to heart.
Lightly fiddling with the long hair in front of her, she stood up, "Not well-acquainted? We’ve known each other for several days, with 24 hours in a day, 60 minutes in an hour, and 60 seconds in a minute, we’ve known each other for at least 172,800 seconds, isn’t that a small number? Not even counting the ti we knew each other before."
Sumr Sutton never realized her math could be this good, she calculated the multiplication smoothly.
172,800 indeed isn’t a small number, but it’s in seconds!
Yet from her mouth, it sounded like they had known each other for a lifeti.
Completely ignoring the man’s darkened face beside her, Sumr Sutton casually went upstairs.
She hadn’t showered yesterday and hadn’t changed clothes; Sumr Sutton herself slled of sweat.
After arriving in the bathroom connected to the master bedroom, she filled a large tub of warm water and comfortably took a hot bath.
She had a slight cleanliness obsession; not bathing for a day made her feel uncomfortable all over.
While soaking, she scrubbed and washed herself several tis, changing the water one tub after another.
Sumr Sutton lazily lay in the bathtub, comfortably closed her eyes.
She didn’t have any guard up against the man downstairs, and while taking a bath, Sumr Sutton didn’t even think about what she would do if he ca in at this mont.
Perhaps the water temperature was too comfortable, as she soaked in the bathtub, she fell asleep just like that.
Not knowing how long she had slept, the sound of the bedroom door being pushed open ca...
