She tried calling for help, but unexpectedly, not a single mber of the Winslow Family, not even the servants, or the gardeners from the garden, had been around the room recently.
She thought of reaching out to Watt, just like countless tis before when she found herself in danger, the first person she thought of was Adrian.
But, her phone wasn’t with her, how could she possibly contact him?
Sumr Sutton was out of options, she could only leave her fate to luck, waiting to be discovered.
But it’s already been three days, how much longer can she hold on?
How many people can endure three days without eating or drinking?
If no one cos, if she continues waiting like this, will she be able to see the sun tomorrow?
Sumr’s mind was muddled with thoughts and her vision began to blur, seeing double when she gazed at the room’s furnishings.
In her hazy vision, she seed to see her father.
Her father, in heaven, whom she always saw whenever she was on the brink of death.
Is father here to take her?
This ti, there would be no Adrian, no sun, who else could rescue her?
Sumr desperately tried to hold on for just one more second, but her strength was truly waning.
Nearing noon, her body heavily collapsed onto the floor, plunging her into an endless darkness...
Outside the window, footsteps echoed continuously, as if many people were nearby.
Soone was calling her na, "Sumr!"
The voice was so anxious, so heart-wrenching, as if they had been searching for a very long ti.
The voice belonged to Adrian.
Sumr was unconscious, utterly unaware of anything.
In the Winslow Family garden, Watt led a large group of people, splitting up with Alexander to search.
The Winslow Family’s Old Master had dispatched nurous servants, joining the search party.
Lily followed behind Watt, her head lowered the entire ti.
Her heart was tightly clenched, nervously twisting her hands repeatedly, not even daring to look directly at Watt.
The large group divided into two routes, ultimately converging outside an abandoned room.
The servant opened the door, and Watt was the first to enter.
His gaze swept across the room, quietly observing the unconscious woman lying on the floor, his eyes stung fiercely.
"Sumr..." he walked stiffly toward her, gently calling her na, his hand tentatively checked her breath.
Sumr Sutton’s breathing was intermittent, threatening to stop at any mont.
Watt’s chest ached sharply, he called her again, "Baby, wake up..."
His endearing terms ignored the potential reactions of the Winslow Family in the room, calling her as if she were his closest lover.
Sumr Sutton lay silently, without any response.
Watt scooped her up, disregarding his own leg injury, and carried her swiftly out of the room.
His leg injury made standing difficult, let alone running.
Alexander, his attending Doctor, since the beginning of treating his leg injury, would almost everyday remind him to protect his leg, not to move.
But at this mont, Watt seed to completely forget his injury, carrying Sumr Sutton, striding toward the Winslow Family’s gate.
Every step he took was challenging, with each step, cold sweat poured down his forehead, yet he showed no sign of stopping.
Lily beca anxious, afraid that his leg might beco permanently crippled.
