"You’re awake." Taking the kettle from the table next to her, Watt poured her a glass of water. "Anywhere else uncomfortable? Tell ."
Sumr Sutton hadn’t drunk water for over three days, and her mouth felt as dry as if she’d been walking in a desert for days on end.
Taking the water glass, she drank it all in one gulp.
"Why are you here?" Her attitude towards him remained cold.
This attitude left Watt feeling sowhat helpless.
This girl sure holds a grudge!
"I’m taking care of you." Glancing sideways at her, Watt’s explanation was simple and blunt.
"That must have been a burden for you." Sumr rubbed her groggy head and sat up.
"How did I get out?" Racking her brain, she tried hard to recall what happened before she fainted, but she couldn’t rember anything.
"I brought you out." Watt’s explanation was still straightforward.
Sumr froze for a while, turning her face, and stared blankly at him.
"Are you hungry? What do you want to eat? I’ll have soone bring it over." Watt changed the subject and asked about the problem that was urgently needed to be solved for Sumr Sutton.
Sumr was so hungry she wanted to eat anything at this point.
Without much thought, she listed a long list of items, "Shark fin, bird’s nest, abalone..."
Everything she ntioned was nutritious, enough to overwhelm an average person.
"Alright." Watt’s lips twitched slightly as he agreed. He made a call to his assistant, instructing them to have high-end food packed from a luxury hotel and sent over directly.
Sumr didn’t pay him any mind, and once the food arrived, she buried her head and started eating her share.
Watt quietly watched her from the side, without saying anything.
A little past five in the evening, Old Master Winslow and Alexander Winslow ca by again.
They brought a dinner specifically prepared by the Winslows.
Also accompanying them was Lily Winslow, who was injured by a cane and could barely walk steadily.
Upon entering the room, Lily hung her head very low, not daring to look directly at anyone in the room.
"Speak!" The old master reprimanded, stomping his cane.
When he was amiable, the entire aura around him seed to glow.
However, when stern, he was imposing enough to be irresistible.
Lily must have been afraid of him because after his reprimand, she imdiately knelt down.
Her head was almost touching the floor, and she apologized sullenly, "Miss Sutton, I was wrong, I really was wrong, I shouldn’t have locked you up out of jealousy, almost causing a fatal incident, it’s all my fault..."
Sumr Sutton watched this scene in a daze, not understanding what was happening now.
Watt stood to the side, simply watching the scene coldly, with no hint of emotion in his eyes.
Sumr Sutton quietly stared at Lily for a mont, and suddenly realized.
Was it her who locked the door?
When Sumr first entered the waste room, the door was wide open. If soone hadn’t deliberately locked it, she wouldn’t have been trapped inside.
Given the incident at the Winslow Family, other than Lily, she couldn’t think of anyone else who might be hostile towards her.
Lily just kept kneeling there, afraid to get up without a word from Old Master Winslow.
Sumr Sutton stared at her for a while, then gently closed her eyes.
Lily, unsure of how she intended to handle the matter, cautiously raised her face to look at her.
Lily had encountered Sumr’s fierceness before.
When they first t at Watt’s villa, Sumr was so assertive that she directly drove Lily out.
