Dare to speak so directly to a heavyweight gold dal producer like Rain Carter?
Is this a sign of not wanting to stay at Royal Delight?
Rain Carter turned her face slightly, her gaze slowly fixing on her.
Arms crossed, looking at her steadily, Rain Carter was giving her ti, waiting for Sumr Sutton to take back what she just said.
To her surprise, Sumr Sutton was very gutsy, keeping her head down, not even looking at her, and starting to type away on her computer.
Alright!
Are newcors nowadays all this feisty?
Rain Carter took a deep breath and slamd the docunts in her hand onto Sumr Sutton’s desk. Leaning over her desk, she coldly reminded her, "Do you want a resignation letter? Royal Delight only accepts one newcor a year, if you leave, the other candidate proceeds smoothly."
Sumr Sutton’s hand paused while typing, as if a bit intimidated by her words.
Lifting her face, she glanced at Rain, stunned for a few seconds. After coming to her senses, she stood up abruptly.
"Sis, I was wrong, I’ll go right away!" She admitted defeat quickly, took the docunts from Rain’s hand, and without needing a second prompt, dashed down the stairs.
Rain Carter humd lightly, raising the corners of her lips with cold arrogance.
She just didn’t believe there was a newcor she couldn’t subdue.
...
Sumr Sutton actually didn’t want to go to Shining Sky Group at all, at this point, she didn’t even want to see Watt Bennet’s face for a minute.
If he didn’t want to be involved with her, then she’d comply—no longer causing him any interference. Her life without him wouldn’t stop the Earth from spinning.
Arriving outside Shining Sky Tower, she parked the car and lingered downstairs for quite so ti.
She hesitated whether to call Alexander Winslow, asking him to help deliver the docunts upstairs.
However, after dialing Alexander Winslow’s number several tis, no one answered.
Sumr Sutton only knew Watt Bennet and Alexander Winslow at Shining Sky Group. With Alexander not helping, Sumr had no other solution.
After pacing back and forth outside the company building, wrestling with her decision, she finally decided to hand the docunts directly to the reception desk, letting them send it up.
Having made up her mind, she straightened her back, confidently preparing to approach the reception desk, when suddenly a familiar voice sounded behind her, "Sumr!"
A deep voice with a faint chill, a tone familiar to Sumr Sutton.
Sumr Sutton turned her face, eting the eyes of the approaching person, surprised for a few seconds, her face turning pale.
"What are you doing here?" Watt Bennet pushed his wheelchair slowly towards her, his brows furrowed slightly.
"This is from Rain Carter, I’m leaving now!" Sumr Sutton was stunned for a few seconds, handed him the docunts, and then headed out of the building, keeping her head down.
She didn’t linger on-site at all, and her gaze never directly t Watt Bennet’s.
The corner of Watt Bennet’s eyes stiffly glanced in her direction, watching her rapidly retreating figure, his chest aching slightly.
Without looking at him, Sumr Sutton hailed a cab and left directly.
After going back, she did whatever she needed to do, and for many days she didn’t appear in front of Watt Bennet again.
...
That weekend, Sumr Sutton unexpectedly received an invitation, sent by the Winslow Family.
Old Master Winslow invited Sumr Sutton for a dinner banquet.
Even though the conflict between Lily Winslow and Sumr Sutton was significant, Old Master Winslow and Alexander Winslow treated Sumr Sutton genuinely well.
Not wanting to disappoint the elderly, upon receiving the invitation, Sumr Sutton went directly.
