She didn’t care whether Watt Bennet was hungry, she simply focused on eating by herself.
Her gaze occasionally swept toward the living room, and catching sight of Unity still clinging to Watt Bennet and acting coy, Sumr Sutton couldn’t help but roll her eyes several tis.
Luckily, she wasn’t raising a child. If she were raising a son or daughter who was abandoned by Adrian Walyon for so long and still so reliant on him, Sumr Sutton felt she would probably be driven to fury.
After finishing her night snack, she no longer looked at the large and small figures in the living room and went upstairs.
She didn’t arrange a room for Watt Bennet, letting him fend for himself.
Back in her bedroom, after taking a shower, she went straight to bed.
Watt Bennet went upstairs at midnight, and he did take the initiative by choosing the room next to Sumr Sutton’s.
The room next door, after Adrian Walyon left, Sumr Sutton had put away the bedding, sheets, and put them in another room; the bed had nothing on it.
He didn’t mind either, lying on the mattress without even needing a cover, planning to sleep just like that.
Tonight, staying at ho for the first ti since his incident, Sumr Sutton actually couldn’t fall asleep.
Lying on the bed, she quietly listened for any movent next door.
She wanted to know if he was asleep, wanted to know if he could get used to such a bare bed, wanted to know if he’d feel cold sleeping like that, wanted to know if his bed was hard.
Ultimately, she just couldn’t completely stop caring about him.
Sumr Sutton even thought, now that he’s proactively co ho tonight, could she hope for him to confess everything to her?
However, lying on the bed for a very long ti, the room next door remained completely silent.
This kind of him, made Sumr Sutton’s heart fall from hope into the abyss once again.
But, Sumr Sutton still felt a tinge of reluctance.
Marriage is between two people. She waited so long for him to co back to life, she didn’t want to give up this marriage easily.
Since he won’t confess to her, couldn’t she take the initiative?
Tiptoeing, she slowly made her way to the room next door where he was.
Outside Watt Bennet’s room, with her hand on the doorknob, Sumr Sutton slowly pushed the door open.
She didn’t know if he was asleep, so she made a very small noise.
With the thought that if he wasn’t asleep, she’d ask clearly.
If he was asleep, she’d temporarily set aside the question and ask tomorrow.
Fumbling to the bedside, Sumr Sutton tentatively called to the man on the bed, "Watt..."
The man on the bed didn’t respond.
"Watt!" Sumr Sutton called out to him again.
The man on the bed seed to be asleep, still not responding.
Sumr Sutton was a bit disappointed, preparing to leave and planning to ask tomorrow, but without asking clearly, her heart couldn’t settle.
Sumr Sutton was unwilling, she returned to the bedside, lifted the sheet, and climbed into bed, suddenly hugging the man on the bed from behind, "Watt, I want to talk to you."
She didn’t do anything else but hugged the man on the bed.
Watt Bennet’s body stiffened slightly, and his face turned slightly toward her.
Sumr Sutton knew he was already awake, or maybe hadn’t slept at all, and her heart was filled with hope once more.
Staring fixedly at him, in the darkness, her gaze sparkled like stars, "Give a genuine reason why you don’t want to co back, as long as it doesn’t pertain to the Winslow Family, I can accept it."
She loved him enough to discard her own dignity.
