Li Qingcang and Ye Tianxin were stunned for a moment when they heard what Qie Wenyang said.
Ye Tianxin was not pregnant?
The two lovers felt their hearts shatter into pieces.
Ye Tianxin subconsciously placed her arm on her abdomen. She had consummated her marriage with Li Qingcang the night before. She was finally Li Qingcang’s wife. It might not be possible that she would get pregnant so quickly.
One would not be able to find out if one had immediately conceived after an act of intimacy.

“For now, just tell me about the rest of Tianxin’s results.”
Qie Wenyang moved the mouse around the monitor, reading the data carefully before reaching a conclusion.
“Based on the results of the blood test, there is no problem with Tianxin’s health.”
Li Qingcang asked again, “Do you need to prescribe some folic acid?”
Li Qingcang learned that if a pregnant woman took some medication such as folic acid in the early stages of pregnancy, it could help to prevent other inherent medical conditions.
“If you are prepared for pregnancy, I can prescribe some folic acid for you.”
Qie Wenyang went on to prescribe some folic acid and other supplements for Ye Tianxin.
Ye Tianxin sat on the couch looking at Li Qingcang in a serene manner. She gave him a slight smile.
The current medical technology was not advanced enough to determine if she was really pregnant, but she was certain that a baby was growing inside of her right now.
When Li Qingcang turned around, he met Ye Tianxin’s smiling gaze.
He winked playfully to show his affection.
“Please, can the both of you bear in mind that the doctor sitting in front of you, Dr. Qie Wenyang, is still single? Kindly show a little more restraint in displaying your affection.”
Qie Wenyang was gradually growing jealous.
He also longed for a girlfriend, especially a gentle girlfriend like Ye Tianxin.
“If we don’t torture you with our show of affection, how can we spur you to fall in love?” Li Qingcang placed his hand on Qie Wenyang’s shoulder. “Thank you, my brother.”
Suddenly, Li Qingcang’s cell phone rang.
It was Jing Zhichen, who sounded pretty excited.
“Qingcang, guess what? The audit team managed to uncover some irregularities in Gu Enterprises’ finances. They’re further looking into it now.”
When Li Qingcang heard Jing Zhichen’s voice, he asked casuallly, “Did you hear of any other news when you are in Shenhai City?”
“News? I don’t think so.”
Jing Zhichen sounded doubtful that there was anything newsworthy to update Li Qingcang.
Li Qingcang was puzzled. He wondered there were really no updates at all.
He had called the police earlier. They should have found out more about Lu Qingxin’s situation by now.
If Lu Qingxin was as unkempt as in the photo, Jing Zhichen would have heard about it.
It seemed that Jing Zhichen was not aware of such news.
It sounded quite unbelievable.
“Okay, I know.”
Li Qingcang called the phone number of the police department that he had made a report earlier to inquire about their investigations.
“Sorry, Mr. Li. We visited Gu Enterprises and did not manage to find Ms. Lu. Chairman Gu of Gu Enterprises had told us that he had lost contact with her ever since she left the police station. Currently Lu Qingxin’s whereabouts are unknown.”
Whereabouts unknown?
That could only mean that Lu Qingxin met with a mishap.
Ye Tianxin held on to Li Qingcang’s arm. “Darling, isn’t Lu Qingxin already dead?”
