Jing Zhichen seemed to be mourning as he replied, “No, nobody has seen Gungun. Qingcang, what if something happened to her? I don’t think I would ever be able to forgive myself if something bad did happen to Gungun.”
Li Qingcang curled his lips. He retorted, “Why are you only saying this just now? What have you been thinking about before this?”
Jing Zhichen did not know that Li QIngcang had placed his phone in speaker mode.
He sounded even more sorrowful as he said, “Who is Gungun, anyway? She suddenly appeared in my life, then she left like she wanted. Has she ever thought about how worried I am?”
Ever since Gungun left, Jing Zhichen felt as though his whole life was just about Gungun. When he saw any delicious food or a fun place to go, the first person he would think of was Gungun. His life had revolved around her existence.

Now, whenever he said her name, he realized that it was wishful thinking on his part.
Gungun no longer existed. She left as quietly as she had appeared. She was like an emotionless spirit, stirring up trouble in his world before leaving without a word.
Li Qingcang sarcastically said, “Are you worried about her?”
He was essentially rubbing salt into Jing Zhichen’s wounds with those words.
Jing Zhichen’s voice was full of remorse as he said, “Yes, I am. I wish Gungun could be my daughter. Why couldn’t she be my daughter? Why couldn’t I have such an adorable and endearing daughter?”
When Ye Tianxin heard what Jing Zhichen said, she could not help but ment, “Zhichen, a father and daughter don’t have to be blood-related.”
“Tianxin, are you feeling any better?”
“My wedding will be held as scheduled, so please get your gift for me ready.”
Ye Tianxin then glanced at Li Qingcang before adding, “Listen, Zhichen. I don’t know how you usually get along with Gungun or what you normally do with her, but can you try to think of where she would go if she left you?”
Where would Gungun most likely go?
Suddenly, Jing Zhichen hung up the phone with a loud bang.
He needed to think and remember all the times he spent with Gungun.

Jing Zhichen was after all her cousin. Ye Tianxin could not bring herself to be harsh to him, but she was anxious that Gungun was still missing.
She was worried that Gungun would only resurface once she was in the news.
“Gungun will be fine.”
Li Qingcang thought that nothing bad would happen to an adorable and sensible girl like Gungun.
“Really? Do you think so?”
Ye Tianxin was not so certain. She looked at Li Qingcang and suddenly asked, “Qingcang, do you still remember when Gungun gave a candy earlier? I felt much better after eating it. My mood improved tremendously.”
Li Qingcang said softly, “I did notice that. I was wondering if Gungun might e from a secret family of divine doctors, but I don’t think that’s the case. When Wenyang did a checkup on you, he said that the X-Virus is still in your body and is spreading to the other parts of your body very quickly…”
Ye Tianxin said regretfully, “I wish Gungun is a divine doctor. She could cure me immediately with some miracle pill.”
Li Qingcang stroked Ye Tianxin’s face with a resigned look. “Spirits have never been allowed in our country. Even if supernatural beings did exist, they might have rules of their own. They wouldn’t interfere with a human’s life.”
