Li Qingcang refused to budge. He was not abusing his power. He was giving Ye Tianxin an opportunity to decide for her future.
“Qie Yiyan, I understand your desire to uncover a potential talent, but you cannot force Tianxin’s hand. Tianxin’s dream is not to bee a soldier. Her dream is to be a diplomat. I will not allow anyone to impose their will on her.”
Qie Yiyan wiped off the sweat on his forehead. His face was red. “Li Qingcang, everyone has a responsibility to protect their country. When the people need it, one has to join the military to protect the country without any regard for themselves. I believe that Ye Tianxin is someone who can understand this. Even if she cannot, I can convince her to.”
Shouhu jogged up to Qie Yiyan. When he saw Li Qingcang, he felt guilty for some reason.

When Yan Lili saw Li Qingcang, she saluted him. “Captain Qie, Captain Li,” she greeted them politely.
The wireless cameras all had infrared settings. One could see the thunderstorm and the lightning flashing across the island through the surveillance footage.
Li Qingcang was a captain, and he knew that trainees would have to deal with all sorts of bad weather during training.
However, right now, he was not a captain.
He was just Li Qingcang.
He just wanted to protect Ye Tianxin and to lift the worries of the world off her shoulders. He wanted her to lead a healthy and happy life, and in a manner as she wished under his protection.

Qie Yiyan frowned, and he looked at Li Qingcang, “What are you going to do?”
“I am going to get her out of there.”
Qie Yiyan’s face turned red in anger when he heard that.
“Li Qingcang, look at yourself right now. Are you even a soldier? Do you have the self-awareness of a soldier?”
“Qingcang, it is already so late. The weather on the island isn’t suitable for helicopter landing. Let’s wait until tomorrow when the weather clears.”
Xie Xinghe arrived without them noticing. He stood beside Li Qingcang and tried to persuade him to go and see Ye Tianxin tomorrow.
Li Qingcang sighed and clenched his fists tightly. His dark eyes were filled with anger. There was no electricity there, food would not be easy to find, and the weather was so terrible. He could not imagine how the delicate and weak Ye Tianxin was going to survive in that sort of environment.

She must have been really frightened when they captured her.
