“Dad, I’ll get another bowl of noodles for you.”
Xie Xuning shook his head and said, “I’ve had enough.”
“Tianxin, what are you going to do later?”
Ye Tianxin put a blanket over Xie Xuning. “Dr. Xie mentioned that you might have a high fever tonight, so she asked me to keep an eye on you. Don’t worry about me. I’ve taken a nap earlier this afternoon, so I’ll be fine.”
Xie Xuning thought that his daughter was honest to a fault; it was as if she didn’t know how to lie.
“Do you think you would’ve slept in the afternoon? Do you think you can fall asleep?”
“Okay, I got it, Dad. You’re the smartest. It’s true that I didn’t sleep earlier this afternoon, but I’ll still need to stay by your side tonight in case you catch a fever.”
“No, I won’t.”
Xie Xuning had always been confident in his physical fitness.
He believed that the minor injury he suffered would not hurt much.

Xie Yi seemed to be in high spirits.
“Seeing how energetic you are, I can tell that you won’t be sleeping tonight!”
Shi Han passed her a bowl of noodles. She held the bowl in her hands and started eating the noodles in small mouthfuls. It was delicious and savory.
Sweating all over, Xie Yi finished the bowl of noodles, feeling satisfied.
“Go and sleep first, Shi Han. I’ll go and check on Xie Xuning and Tianxin since I can’t fall asleep now.”
Shi Han wore a solemn expression and said, “You’re liking the new and hating the old. You’re going to abandon Mo’er and me since you only have eyes for them now.”
Xie Yi blushed and said, “No, it’s not like that, Shi Han. Xie Xuning is hurt. He had a wound on his thigh that hasn’t fully recovered, and the wound opened up again during the rescue today. I think he’s going to have a fever tonight. That’s why I’m going to check on him.”
Shi Han put his hands around Xie Yi’s shoulder. “Okay, okay. I was just kidding. Off you go then. I hope everything goes well for you.”
Xie Yi went out cheerfully.
The wind stopped blowing.
The snow stopped falling.
The moon was out.
The weather was going to be good tomorrow.
Xie Yi pulled back the drape and walked into the room. Ye Tianxin, who looked delicate and gentle, was reading a book by the charcoal fire.
Upon seeing Xie Yi ing in, Ye Tianxin put down the book she was holding and walked toward Ye Tianxin.
“Dr. Xie, why are you here?”
Xie Yi turned around and closed the door. She walked toward Tianxin and sat down beside her.
“I’m worried about your dad. How is he? Did he catch a fever?”
Ye Tianxin shook her head. “Nope, he’s sleeping soundly. It might be because he didn’t sleep well last night. He’s asleep now.”
“Oh, you’re reading this book. Is there anything you don’t understand?”
Xie Yi intended to get closer with Ye Tianxin. She took over the book that Ye Tianxin was reading.
