Now reading: Chapter 347 - 258 Fox2 from Secret Records of the Leader of the Beichen Sword Sect, a Eastern novel by Axe Warrior.

Then Tie Dan looked down at the magic artifact in his hand. Well, strictly speaking, it’s a magic device.

This is a trapezoidal iron box, essentially an iron cover. The term ’box’ refers to an ancient arrow quiver, now used to store valuables like jewels and letters. The iron box is also wrapped in a jade hook and so kind of exotic beast skin.

Recalling the inheritance Chen Xuantian studied these days, Tie Dan identified this item as the Falling Treasure teor Box forged by the Xingxuan Ancestor with teorite iron.

This teorite iron is an extraterrestrial material with peculiar properties, impervious even to the Taiji Five Qi. This extraterrestrial alloy is extrely hard and can only be cut with refined divine weapon Mystic Iron. Moreover, it shields divine sense, making it impossible to control with Spiritual Qi.

So the Xingxuan Ancestor covered this teorite iron with beast skin, added a jade hook, and made it into a teor box to carry with him, using it as a tool for falling treasures. Combined with Xingxuan’s secret calculations, during magical duels, he would predict the trajectory of the opponent’s magic treasure flying sword, throw the teor box to cover it, directly blocking the signal of the opponent’s Primordial Spirit, thus ’felling’ the opponent’s magic treasure...

Damn, no wonder you could collect so many magic treasures, they were all picked up like this...

This teor box, although not very useful, is a one-for-one thing, but likely quite useful against the Mystic Sect people, especially those opponents who have refined a Lifebound Magic Artifact. Once its base is covered by the teor box, their entire skill set would be halved.

Having acquired a rather useful magic device, Tie Dan naturally had no complaints, bowed in gratitude to the Xingxuan Ancestor, and then left the forbidden ground to exit the gorge. From afar, he saw a Taoist temple nestled among the surrounding hills, knowing it was likely the descendant temple of High Top Mountain Xingxuan Sect.

After all, having obtained the inheritance of others, Tie Dan couldn’t just fly over the people’s heads so discourteously. So he headed towards the temple, intending to greet Senior Brother ng Yuzhang and the others and perhaps have a cup of wine.

However, as he reached the outside of the Xingxuan Temple, Tie Dan halted.

There was the sll of blood.

Coming out of seclusion only to enter a killing tribulation...

Tie Dan called out loudly,

"Wu Di of the Sword Sect, here to visit fellow mbers of the Xingxuan Sect! Would Senior Brother ng please co out to et !"

He called thrice, but there was no response, so Tie Dan, with an apology, drew the Peach Wood Double Swords and leapt into the temple.

Alright, they’re all dead.

The Xingxuan Sect had been massacred, literally blood and flesh sared across the ground. All the disciples were hard, their Dan abdons cut open, limbs severed, and their skin peeled, leaving only bloody human sticks thrown into the main hall of the temple, before the Xuan Nu Jade Statue, dying in disgrace.

The handiwork was of the Divine Sect people, because even the Xuan Nu Jade Statue was similarly dismbered, limbs severed, turned into a stick, and its face slashed, crudely carved into a hideous ghost face.

Such is indeed the norm in this world, where they break mountains and temples when they co, utterly destroying it and obliterating your Daoist inheritance and offerings. But to really dare to harm the Xuan Nu Statue, not even the people of the Immortal Palace would have such boldness, only the Divine Sect would.

Tie Dan carefully inspected the corpses and found on the back of one of them, a sword wound he had inflicted, which was clearly from Yuan Jiu, a disciple of the Xingxuan Sect with whom he had previously fought. Calculating with his fingers, he also realized these people had been dead for about three months.

It seems precisely because he had previously intervened, causing them to lose a chance encounter, they failed to enter the secret realm, and thus all perished here, losing even their lives.

No wonder the Xingxuan Ancestor left an inheritance, in the struggle for the Immortal Path, there is no room for concession...

Xingxuan Sect, annihilated.

Having known them once, Tie Dan found a flat place in the temple to bury everyone, then closed the mountain gate and placed a few talismans to prevent wild beasts from entering and ruining the corpses. He then tunneled into the nearby Jungle Temple to report.

Yet found this Jungle Temple too had been annihilated...

It was naturally also the handiwork of the Divine Sect. The cultivators in the temple were completely slaughtered and razed to the ground, leaving only a boneyard of blood and piles of dismbered limbs, a hellish scene.

Tie Dan was silent for a mont, and as he walked around the law array along the Jungle Temple’s periter wall, he turned his head toward the courtyard, where a burial mound had been stacked like a watchtower.

"Co out."

Then a fox tunneled out of the ground, but this one hadn’t transford yet, with a fox head, not the one that had previously bargained with Tie Dan.

"Daring to kill and eat corpses, such audacity."

"Immortal, spare my life! It has nothing to do with !"

The fox clearly felt it was locked on by a great killing intent, hurriedly kneeled and kowtowed, while taking out a gold dal from its pockets and raising it above its head,

"We are a native Spiritual Clan in Qianzhou, granted rcy outside the law by the Mystic Sect Leader, specifically tasked with guarding tombs and graveyards, tidying Immortal remains. Even ordinary people dare not harm us, let alone Mystic Sect disciples."

"Heh, dare not harm..."

Tie Dan took a closer look to find that indeed, the protective gold dal was genuine, the Dao Power embedded in the inscription was indeed worth its true value. It roughly indicated that the ’Hu family’ had already converted to the Righteous Path, and as long as they didn’t indiscriminately kill innocents or act lawlessly, Mystic Sect Disciples should spare them a bit of life if judged appropriate. However, the signature na under the title of ’Leader’ was not of the world’s number one Daoist Lingxu, but rather the previous Sect Leader, Master Xuan Du.

Sealed and suppressed for a thousand years, no wonder the monster could freely co and go in the temple, without arousing suspicion...

"It’s long expired."

So Tie Dan raised his sword and cut the gold dal in two with one stroke, then beheaded the fox, coldly asking.

"Who did it."

"I don’t know."

"Where did they go."

"I don’t know."

"Where did they co from."

"I don’t know."

Tie Dan snorted coldly,

"You know nothing! Then what’s your purpose here!"

The fox said,

"My young lady is getting married and said she found so good treasures in this temple. Since everyone is dead, it’s just right to take them as dowry, and she ordered to find them."
