In the early autumn night, during the rising waters of sumr, the surging Ju River has reached the banks, the bright sand on the shore gleaming like snow. Except for the sandy land beside the bank, the rest is a vast expanse of grassland. From a distance, one can see only verdant clouds covering the ground, with a white ribbon spanning across, billowing with the wind, flowing from west to east.

In the deep night, a hanging moon is high in the sky, hanging high in the heavens, with only the gentle sounds of insects among the long grass. Suddenly, the sound of a horse’s neigh is heard, coming from the north, like a whirlwind sweeping over the ridge of Yin Mountain.

Soon, a young knight cos riding from the north. Though clad in battle armor, his entire body covered in blood clothes, with a bow on his back and a sword, his face is full of dust and wind. Yet he has arms like an ape and a wasp waist; his face is like a beautiful jade, full of grace and elegance. His deanor is steady and composed, his protective Vigorous Qi solid and reliable, at a glance known to be a descendant of a warlord’s family, with a lineage of guards passed down through generations.

The knight rode swiftly southward, until he reached the north bank of Ju River but was blocked by the suddenly swollen river. Seeing the width of the riverbank, fearing that the horse might not leap over it, and the heavy armor might not float, he reined in and halted, urgently looking around for a shallower place to ford the river.

"Awoo—!"

Suddenly, the sounds of wolf howls echo from the curtain of night, with the roars and howls of beasts resounding across the grassland. The sounds echo and spread, becoming closer in an instant, with gusts of Demon Wind and black smoke billowing in from three sides, carrying a thick stench of blood assaulting the senses from heaven and earth.

The warhorse, from a distance, slled the scent of the demon beast, trembling in fright, restless, it couldn’t wait to leap forward into the river. However, due to its weight, the sandy ground was soft and it imdiately got stuck in the sand, spraining its hoof, and fell to the ground with incessant neighs.

The young knight quickly tumbled and rolled to the ground like a falcon, narrowly avoiding being crushed under the horse, and quickly climbed up to help the horse. But finding it difficult to gain footing and strength on the muddy ground, he couldn’t lift the horse in haste, stuck in a dilemma as the howling Demon Wind rolled to his face!

With nowhere to escape, he could only fight to the death!

"Gang Fist Ten! Hit!"

The young knight did not hesitate, raising his hand, a strong bow drawn, a bowstring set, with an arrow shot!

"Boom!"

The arrow, attached with a talisman, flashed with golden light, wrapped in a fierce wind, piercing through black smoke and evil clouds, shooting into the Demon Wind!

"Aw—!"

A mournful wail echoed as a huge wolf rolled out of the Demon Wind. The demon, in a mont of hubris, rushed carelessly, only to be unexpectedly countered by the young man’s arrow, piercing its right eye, causing blood to gush out! In that instant, its beastly nature erupted, sending it into a frenzy! One strike of its claws directly swept the warhorse into two halves! Blood spattered, intestines flew, and the ground was drenched with blood!

Yet the young man remained calm and composed, tightly focused on the Wolf Demon lunging at him. Leaping and rolling, he dodged the sweeping claws of the beast, relying on the armor he wore. Even though the claw wind grazed past, it only left a few white marks and claw prints on his iron armor without causing much harm.

Having dodged the attack, the young man didn’t hesitate. He flipped himself up and quickly raised his hand, firing off three arrows in rapid succession, "Boom, boom, boom!" The three arrows were also prepared with talisman paper, igniting in the wind, burning as they appeared, taking advantage of the Wolf Demon’s wounded right eye, it couldn’t dodge and all arrows struck its face, "Boom!" instantly turning its wolf head into a fireball!

"Ow ah ah ah—!" "Splash!"

The Wolf Demon let out a pained scream, desperately rolling and crawling, rushing to the riverbank to imrse its head in the water, finally breaking the arrows and extinguishing the Dao Fire. Upon opening its eyes, it found its head entirely burned bald by the talisman fire!

The Wolf Demon was instantly filled with hatred, gritting its teeth, its eyes glowing green, spewing coarse breaths as it turned its head to look, suddenly a bright flash appeared! As it stared, it only caught a glimpse of a black shadow rolling towards it from the front!

It turns out the young man hadn’t retreated but advanced instead! Leaping forward, rushing to the front! Drawing out the iron sword from his back with his right hand, and slapping a Taoist Talisman onto the sword spine with his left hand! Shouting angrily!

"Yangming Great Champion, Yin Essence Tai Chi! All ghosts hide, Flying Gang One Breath! Yao Guang Dragon-slaying Sword!"

"Swish—!"

At that mont, the talisman flashed, transforming into a bright sword light guarding the blade, instantly creating a double shadow of the sword! Like the dual brilliance of the sun and the moon, with double lights intersecting! One sword struck down! Aiming to sever the head, the Wolf Demon was decapitated in an instant with a single slash! Falling imdiately dead! Collapsing lifeless onto the sandy ground, with essence blood gushing from the bowl-sized wound! Instantly staining the Ju River red!

"Roar—!!" "Oww!!!"

At this mont, two more demons fell to the ground from within the Demon Wind. Seeing in the blink of an eye, their brother had been slain by the youth with just one sword, they were temporarily struck with fear, wary of the formidable Daoist Sword in the youth’s hand. Despite being two blue-faced fanged giant beasts, with heads as large as cattle, clearly having partially ford their Demon Cores, they hesitated, encircling but not advancing, unwilling to beco the first to engage and be killed.

"Hiss—woo—"

And the young man, still whistling, exhaled True Qi like a white ribbon from his mouth and nose, spraying it onto the sword spine, over the brightly shining Taoist Talisman, held the treasure sword, relying on the sword light, maintaining a standoff with the two demons several steps away.

"Roar!" "Owo!"

The two demons also knew that the standoff was not a long-term solution. On the south bank of Ju River lay the Nine Border Towns, Lingwu Territory, and at any mont, guards could co patrolling the border. Now blocked outside the pass, finally encountering a living person, it would be a sha not to feast on him. with a few grunts and roars, having agreed, they simultaneously moved! Charging in for a joint attack!

"Hiss... Woo... Gang Fist Sixteen! Open!"

The young man, fearless, with an unchanging deanor, faced the charging giant beasts, adjusting his breathing, his body swelling with iron-hard muscles! Simultaneously, he ntally recited the Sword Technique General Outline! His eyes focusing, ready to et the charge!

"Xuanji Yuheng pointing at the Celestial Wolf, Nine Luminaries descend the sky with sword energy rising! Beidou hangs sharp, shining upon the purple pole, Yao Guang appears to break the profound yellow! Zha!"

"Roar!" "Ow!"
