Now reading: Chapter 110: That touch of blue-green from Sequence Highway Survival: I Upgrade Supplies in the Apocalypse, a Fantasy novel by 山海呼啸.

Before Chen Ye could react, the lead modified off-road vehicle was already accelerating wildly, kicking up a massive cloud of dust.

Chen Ye stomped the gas pedal straight to the floor, the engine roaring as all four wheels spun frantically, sending an equally large dust cloud billowing behind him.

Sequence Superpowers enhanced all aspects of one's senses.

Ordinary people might not yet detect the subtle changes in the air.

But Chen Ye could perceive them.

Especially after prolonged exposure to such high temperatures and dry conditions, this faint coolness felt remarkably distinct.

Chen Ye stuck his head out the window, greedily savoring that elusive, faint coolness.

The Apocalyptic Pickup Truck roared as it overtook Iron Lion's school bus and the Pink-haired Girl's modified off-road vehicle, stubbornly tailgating Captain Chu Che's modified off-road vehicle.

Others in the convoy also noticed the unusual movents of these two vehicles.

The Pink-haired Girl had been dozing off in her car, the passenger seat fully reclined, her pink hair scattered ssily across her chest. Though her clothes were sowhat dirty, they couldn't conceal her youthful charm.

Except that glistening drool had already dripped onto the seatback, which combined with her delicate face actually made her seem sowhat... cute?

She still clutched that long sword in her hand, its black scabbard adorned with pink doll stickers.

Sitting beside her was the pocket-sized Xiao Yu.

When the apocalypse began, this girl didn't even have a driver's license, but now she handled this vehicle with incredible ease.

"Cousin, cousin..."

Seeing Chen Ye directly overtake their vehicle, Xiao Yu quickly shook awake the dozing girl.

"Ah... what? What happened?"

The girl jolted awake, hurriedly sitting up, her hand instinctively tightening around the long sword while making a "slurp" sound as she sucked the drool back into her mouth.

The cold sensation of the drool helped sharpen her focus a bit.

"Chen Ye and the captain have both rushed ahead."

Xiao Yu pointed at Chen Ye's disappearing vehicle.

The Pink-haired Girl imdiately spotted Chen Ye's car.

It was impossible not to - that vehicle was just too eye-catching.

"That Chen Ye - he never acts without benefit. Follow them!"

"Got it, cousin! Just watch !"

Xiao Yu's small fra slid downward, her short legs stomping firmly on the accelerator.

From the outside, the entire vehicle looked like it was driving itself.

Simultaneously, Iron Lion's school bus also responded.

Zhou Xiaoxiao's vehicle closely followed, stubbornly tailing the school bus's rear.

At this point, the entire convoy was stirred up.

Although no one knew the reason.

The lead vehicles accelerating definitely ant sothing.

Although the convoy had lost many cals recently.

A few cals still stubbornly survived.

Among them was one raised by Xue Nan.

This cal surviving until now had cost Xue Nan considerable effort.

Xue Nan knew that if the cals were gone, he probably wouldn't survive either.

Seeing the convoy accelerate, Xue Nan urgently urged his cal to speed up as well.

The other few cals did the sa.

Among them were the Boss and Fourth Brother.

These two had sohow convinced the original cal owners to surrender their cals to them.

Even so, they were rapidly left far behind by the vehicles.

As for those who had lost their ans of transportation, they remained permanently at the convoy's rear.

The school bus was already overcrowded, with no room to squeeze in more people.

Ten minutes later...

Chu Che was acting like a headless fly, heading east one mont, west the next. If viewed from above.

One could clearly see Chu Che's modified off-road vehicle resembling a hyena searching for bones, constantly sniffing around the ground.

Twenty minutes later...

The coolness in the air grew increasingly stronger.

Chen Ye's heart began pounding with excitent.

Could they really have found a water source?

Green vegetation actually started appearing around them.

This discovery thrilled Chen Ye imnsely. He pushed his sunglasses up to reveal his eyes, staring intently at that patch of green.

As if this green were the most beautiful painting between heaven and earth.

"Cousin, cousin, that's... that's..."

Xiao Yu's excited voice ca from the adjacent vehicle.

Even the crowded school bus erupted with successive exclamations of joy.

"Heavens, am I... am I seeing things?"

"Damn, my god... so beautiful!"

"Wah wah wah... Mom..."

Thirty minutes later.

The surrounding greenery grew more abundant, and the air felt less dry.

The previous high temperatures gradually decreased.

Chen Ye could feel every cell in his body cheering.

This must be it.

Chu Che must have truly found it.

Chu Che's vehicle crested a sand dune and disappeared from view.

Chen Ye stomped the gas pedal hard again, the engine roaring once more.

As if sensing Chen Ye's emotions, the vehicle also beca excited, the entire body lurching violently forward.

The front end kept rising, until Chen Ye sitting inside could only see blue sky and white clouds.

Suddenly, the front end plunged downward, Chen Ye's body thrown forward against the seatback restraints.

Chen Ye removed the sunglasses from his nose bridge, revealing a turquoise-blue expanse before his eyes.

Like a piece of exquisite jade fallen from heaven, embedded in the desert.

Surrounded by scattered patches of green vegetation.

The moisture hitting his face made Chen Ye feel like he'd instantly returned from hell to the human world.

The air carried a fresh, vibrant energy.

Chen Ye had never found a small lake so beautiful before.

Perhaps when he lay on his deathbed in old age, Chen Ye would still consider this scene one of the most beautiful monts he'd ever witnessed in his life.

"Wah wah wah..."

Hysterical crying sounded beside him.

It was Zhou Xiaoxiao.

The young girl gripped the steering wheel with one hand, her vehicle struggling over the sand dune before sliding down the slope.

And now, this little girl opened her mouth wide, wailing uncontrollably, tears and snot covering her face as she continued crying hysterically, crying with heart-wrenching sobs, crying with utter abandon.

Tears and snot dripped from her cheeks onto the steering wheel, sliding onto her clothes, completely ignored.

"Wah wah wah wah..."

Amid the crying, the vehicle began steering toward the lakeside while sliding downward.

"Cousin, it's... it's... water!"

Cheers already erupted from the seemingly driverless modified off-road vehicle.

The pink-haired figure abruptly sat upright, her eyes fixed intently on that turquoise-blue expanse, lips trembling.

"Water, wah wah wah..."

"I finally made it!"

"There's water!"

"Damn it, I survived this!"

Deafening cheers exploded from the school bus.

Old Li simply opened the bus door directly.

So survivors completely disregarded whether they were still moving, jumping straight out of the vehicle.

One person started, then two followed.

More and more people leaped from the school bus.

Originally they had appeared lifeless and listless.

But now, these people scread, roared, and ran madly toward that turquoise-blue expanse like lunatics.

Chen Ye parked his vehicle by the lakeside, moisture filling his nostrils.

He eagerly scrambled out of the vehicle, wanting to personally touch that turquoise-blue lake water.

But as he prepared to approach, Chen Ye hesitated.

He rembered what Chu Che had said - Anomalies existed everywhere: in the sky, on the ground, in water, in soil.

Chen Ye suppressed his emotions - there was no rush anyway.

Captain Chu Che and Old Bao, along with convoy assistant Xiao Wang, had already gotten out of their vehicle.

But Captain Chu's condition seed quite unusual at this mont.

Colorless ripples undulated around Captain Chu's body.

As if so incomprehensible force surrounded him.

Chen Ye paused slightly: "Captain Chu!"

A gentle smile spread across Chu Che's face, serene as spring water.

Hearing Chen Ye's voice, he turned to look at him.

"Chen Ye, I've advanced to Sequence 2."
