Now reading: Chapter 68: Sandstorm from Sequence Highway Survival: I Upgrade Supplies in the Apocalypse, a Fantasy novel by 山海呼啸.

The vehicle's accelerator was floored to the maximum.

This apocalyptic pickup truck was undergoing an unprecedented test.

The vehicle shot forward like a fired bolt arrow, racing ahead with the roaring sandstorm chasing right behind.

Sand pelted against the windows and vehicle body with rustling sounds, like the cold laughter of death.

Visibility was getting lower and lower by the mont.

Fortunately, the vehicles ahead had turned on their hazard lights, allowing Chen Ye to barely keep up with the convoy's tail.

Back when he was trying to save Slaughter Points, Chen Ye had even canceled his hazard lights function.

Only a single headlight emitted a faint glow from the front of his vehicle.

The convoy raced ahead of the sandstorm, looking as if they could be swallowed by it at any mont.

The willow branch had already wrapped around Chen Ye's arm.

Chen Ye nervously stared at the flashing red taillights ahead.

Wrong! This is wrong!!!

Continuing to run like this was no different from seeking death.

He had never been to the desert before, nor encountered a sandstorm, so he had absolutely no experience.

When he saw others running, he simply followed along.

Most people in the convoy hadn't encountered this situation either.

Only now, after calming down, did he realize how foolish this was.

How long could they keep running like this?

Moreover, how could vehicles possibly outrun a sandstorm?

With visibility getting lower and lower, driving blindly ant they might crash into obstacles or get stuck in sand pits.

Or they could lose direction and get separated from the convoy.

Or their fuel could run out.

Any single one of these situations would an certain death.

They couldn't run.

Only by stopping and waiting out the sandstorm could they have a chance of survival!!!

Cold sweat beaded on Chen Ye's forehead. He wanted to communicate with Chu Che now, but it was already too late.

There was no walkie-talkie in the vehicle.

Even if he stuck his head out and shouted, Chu Che probably wouldn't hear him.

What should he do?

Damn it!

But just then, Chen Ye suddenly saw the vehicle ahead rapidly approaching.

Chen Ye quickly jerked the steering wheel, the pickup truck swaying as it barely avoided scraping against the vehicle's rear end.

Looking more carefully, he saw that Chu Che and Nana's vehicles had both stopped completely.

Even Iron Lion's yellow school bus had stopped in place.

All vehicles were flashing their hazard lights while stationary.

Chen Ye understood - Captain Chu must have realized the situation.

As expected of Captain Chu.

Only about ten minutes had passed from start to now, and he'd already figured it out.

He saw sothing waving from the direction of Captain Chu's vehicle.

Then two off-road vehicles moved closer to Iron Lion's school bus.

Understanding the plan, Chen Ye also slowly drove his vehicle toward the school bus.

Sitting inside the vehicle, he could feel the canopy behind him being violently shaken by the fierce wind.

The canopy had been pieced together from won's clothing before, and even though he later reinforced it with bicycle materials, it was only barely functional.

Chen Ye wasn't optimistic about whether the canopy would survive.

He could only hope they wouldn't lose too many supplies.

With Iron Lion's yellow school bus as the center, Chen Ye and the others' vehicles all gathered around it.

The wind around them grew stronger, the sand increased, and the sound of sand hitting the windows grew louder.

Scratches on the windows multiplied rapidly.

What was once a transparent car window had now beco frosted glass.

The sandstorm drew closer and closer.

It was like a giant beast roaring in their ears, ready to charge forward and swallow this group of ants in one bite.

"Ah~~~"

A scream that seed both near and far echoed through the storm.

Through the window, Chen Ye saw a motorcycle being lifted by the wind and blown toward the dusky distance.

Following behind the motorcycle was a human figure.

He couldn't see the face clearly, but Chen Ye could guess this was the motorcycle survivor from their convoy.

The sunlight in the sky had been completely blocked out by the sandstorm.

The surroundings suddenly turned dark.

Chen Ye sat in his pickup truck, his body swaying left and right with the vehicle's motion.

Even though they were in the desert, it felt like they were on a boat.

Was this sandstorm too terrifying?

"Bang!"

The left window directly shattered from the wind!

Fierce wind rushed into the vehicle, blowing Chen Ye's hair like a clump of seaweed.

Chen Ye quickly stuffed his sunglasses into his pocket and was about to find sothing to block the left window.

"Bang!"

The right window also shattered, the broken glass cutting the skin on Chen Ye's cheek.

"No!~~~"

Another scream that seed both near and far.

Chen Ye didn't know what was happening, but he squinted and looked forward.

He saw a massive figure erging from the school bus.

It was Iron Lion!

The mont this fool erged from the vehicle, his entire body suddenly expanded by one size.

A three-ter-tall little giant abruptly appeared.

The supernatural ability of the Titan Sequence.

The little giant seed to be holding sothing in his hands... rope!

The guy grabbed the rope and ran around the surrounding vehicles.

He actually wanted to tie all the vehicles together with rope.

But the wind around them was simply too strong.

Even a three-ter muscular giant was having so difficulty.

"Yezi, help !"

A furious roar pierced through the wind and clearly reached Chen Ye's ears.

Damn it...

Chen Ye cursed inwardly, then flipped his body and directly climbed out of the vehicle.

At this point, no matter how much he didn't want to, he had to co out.

If the surrounding vehicles couldn't be saved, his apocalyptic pickup truck wouldn't survive either.

The principle of unity had been taught by teachers countless tis since childhood.

The wind grew stronger, and the earlier motorcycle served as a perfect warning.

In this situation, probably only those with Sequence Superpowers could do sothing.

Chen Ye climbed out of the vehicle and rushed straight toward Iron Lion.

The two grabbed the rope and quickly circled around the vehicles.

They circled a full two tis.

The fool Iron Lion tied a knot in the rope and held the other end himself.

With a furious roar, Iron Lion planted his feet firmly into the sandy ground.

Half his body remained outside, half buried in the sand dune.

Looking at him, he actually intended to use himself as a counterweight to anchor these vehicles.

Could this actually work?

Looking at this guy over three ters tall, with muscles coiled all over his body like a small mountain, his weight alone was probably five to six hundred kilograms.

Using him as a counterweight wasn't impossible.

"Yezi, you... go back... I'll handle... the rest!"

Iron Lion's voice ca intermittently through the wind.

"Big Fool, I'll help you!"

Pink hair shot through the sandstorm like a sharp sword.

It was Nana.

The girl swayed her long legs, completely different from her previous drunken state, with sharp gleams shining from her eyes.

The girl grabbed the rope behind Iron Lion, murmuring sothing under her breath, her long sword emitting a two-ter sword aura that stabbed directly into the ground.

"Yezi, why are you spacing out? Co help!"

The pink-haired girl raised her eyebrows at Chen Ye.

"Fine, everyone has their thods, then let show you mine!"

Chen Ye flicked his wrist, a green willow branch shooting out to wrap around the rope as thick as an arm.

The machete spun in Chen Ye's hand, then shot violently toward the ground.

"Go!"

The machete emitted a humming sound, blasting a deep hole in the ground that was instantly covered by sand.

The willow branch pulled taut, firmly anchoring the rope.

The Blood Resentnt Machete's first trial wasn't against anomalies, but was actually used by Chen Ye as a kite anchor.

"Yezi, you've got skills!"

The pink-haired girl still had ti to wink at Chen Ye.

Chen Ye's expression didn't change - the sandstorm was getting more intense.

Through the vibrations transmitted by the willow branch, Chen Ye could clearly feel the wind strengthening, to the point where he himself felt sowhat lifted by the wind, forcing him to grip the willow branch tightly.

The tied-up vehicles emitted creaking tal compression sounds.
