Rama woke before dawn, unable to sleep.
Today was the day. The reveal. The mont he’d been planning for a week.
Last ti, Sekar had cornered him at Week 3, angry and suspicious. The conversation had been a disaster—shouting, accusations, damaged trust that never fully healed.
This ti would be different. This ti, he was choosing the mont. Choosing the location. Choosing exactly how much to reveal.
Sekar stirred beside him, eyes opening slowly.
"You’re awake early," she murmured.
"Couldn’t sleep."
"Nervous about telling your big secret?"
"A little."
She sat up, suddenly more alert. "Today’s the day? You’re actually going to tell ?"
"Yes. But not here. Not in the apartnt." He’d already planned this. "There’s a place I want to take you. Sowhere private. Sowhere we can talk without interruption."
"Sounds ominous."
"It’s important. Trust ?"
She searched his face, then nodded. "Always."
They took his car to Ancol Beach, arriving just as sunrise painted the sky orange and gold. The beach was nearly empty—too early for tourists, too late for night fishern.
Perfect.
They walked along the shore in comfortable silence until Rama found the spot he’d been looking for. A quiet section, far from any other people, with a view of the ocean and the rising sun.
"Here," he said. "This is good."
Sekar turned to face him, arms crossed, expression serious. "Okay. We’re alone. We’re private. No more delays. Tell what’s going on. Tell what you’ve been hiding."
Rama took a deep breath. This was it.
"A week ago, sothing happened to . Sothing impossible. Sothing that changed everything."
"What happened?"
"I gained access to sothing called the System. A hidden power that exists parallel to the normal Hunter rankings. It’s not Hunter magic. It’s sothing else. Sothing older. Sothing more."
He pulled up his System interface and made it visible to her—a feature most Players didn’t know existed.
The golden window appeared in the air between them.
[RAMA KUSUMA - LEVEL 43]
[CLASS: SYSTEM PLAYER]
[STATUS: REGRESSOR]
Sekar’s eyes widened. "What... what is that?"
"The System. It grants power beyond normal Hunter abilities. Enhanced growth. Special skills. Access to hidden quests." He expanded the display, showing his stats, his abilities, his rapid level progression. "This is why I went from E-rank to Level 43 in one week. This is why I can clear SS-rank dungeons solo. This is what I’ve been hiding."
She stared at the display, processing. Then her eyes narrowed. "Why didn’t you tell imdiately? Why hide it for a week?"
"Because it’s bigger than just . There are others like —System Players. We call ourselves the Network. And we have information." He pulled up another display, showing the void threat data. "In forty-seven days, sothing is coming. Sothing that will threaten all of humanity."
[VOID HERALD - LEVEL 73]
[ARRIVAL: 47 DAYS]
[THREAT LEVEL: EXTINCTION]
"Void entities," he continued. "Beings from another dinsion. They’ve been testing Earth through dungeon gates. In forty-seven days, they’ll send their first real scout. A Level 73 entity that standard Hunters can’t fight."
Sekar looked from the display to him. "How do you know this? How can you possibly know the exact arrival date of sothing that hasn’t happened yet?"
This was the critical mont. The lie he’d prepared.
"The System grants visions. Prophecies. To certain users. I’ve been having them all week. Images of the future. Of what’s coming. Of void entities attacking Earth." He t her eyes. "I’ve seen how it ends if we’re not prepared. Millions dead. Cities destroyed. Humanity on the brink."
It wasn’t exactly a lie. He had seen it. Just not through visions—through living it.
"That’s..." Sekar struggled for words. "That’s insane. You’re asking to believe in prophecies? In future visions?"
"I’m asking you to believe in . In what I’m telling you." He took her hands. "I know it sounds crazy. But everything I’ve shown you this week—the dungeon clears, the perfect timing, knowing exactly what you like—it’s all because I know what’s coming. Because I’ve seen it."
"The void entities. You’ve seen them in these visions?"
"Yes. Every detail. Their levels. Their abilities. Their attack patterns. Where they’ll appear. When they’ll arrive." He squeezed her hands. "And I’ve seen how we can stop them. If we prepare. If we build an army. If we’re ready."
Sekar pulled her hands away, pacing along the beach. "This is a lot. System Players. Hidden powers. Prophecies. Alien invasions. You’re asking to accept that the entire world is about to change."
"I know. And I’m sorry I hid it from you. But I needed to be sure. Needed to be strong enough to protect you when I told you. Needed to have proof." He gestured at the System displays. "Now I do. Now I’m strong enough. Now I can show you it’s real."
She stopped pacing, looking at him. "Why tell now? Why not wait longer? Build more strength?"
"Because you deserve to know. Because I need you as my partner, not my protector. Because when the void entities co, I need you fighting beside , not trying to protect from a threat you don’t understand."
"Partner," she repeated. "Not husband you need to shield from danger."
"Not anymore. Now we face it together."
She was quiet for a long ti, watching the waves, processing everything.
Finally, she spoke. "Show . Show your power. Prove this is real and not so elaborate delusion."
Rama nodded. He activated [Molten Strike], his hand erupting in flas that burned cold instead of hot—System energy, not Hunter magic.
"This is just the start," he said. "I have abilities Hunters don’t. Skills that work differently. Power that scales faster. And in forty-seven days, I’ll be strong enough to fight that Level 73 entity."
"Alone?"
"No. That’s why I need you. Why I’m telling you this. I need your help mobilizing resources. Your guild. Your governnt contacts. Your S-rank influence." He dismissed the flas. "I can fight the void entities. But I can’t prepare all of humanity alone. I need you."
Sekar looked at him—really looked at him. Seeing not the E-rank joke she’d married, but soone else. Soone with power. Purpose. Knowledge.
"Forty-seven days," she said. "To prepare for extinction."
"Yes."
"And you’re sure? About the date? About the threat?"
"I’ve seen it. Multiple tis. In perfect detail. It’s coming."
She took a deep breath. Let it out slowly. "Okay."
"Okay?"
"Okay, I believe you. Or at least, I believe you believe it. And you’ve never lied to before, so..." She stepped closer. "Partners?"
"Partners."
"No more secrets? No more hiding?"
Well, except the regression. And the previous life. And the fact that I actually lived through all this instead of seeing visions.
But those were secrets to protect her. To protect their relationship.
"No more secrets about the System or the void threat," he said carefully.
She caught the specific wording. "But other secrets exist."
"Yes."
"Will you tell eventually?"
"When the ti is right. When you’ll understand."
"That’s not a no."
"It’s not a yes either. So things... so things I need to protect you from knowing. Not because I don’t trust you. But because knowing would hurt you. Burden you. I’m carrying that weight so you don’t have to."
She studied his face, then nodded slowly. "I can accept that. For now. But eventually, I want the full truth."
"Eventually," he agreed. Hoping that eventually never ca.
She pulled him into a hug. "So. Partners against the void. Fighting extinction. Saving the world. Just another Tuesday for the Kusuma family."
He laughed despite the weight of the conversation. "Just another Tuesday."
"What do we do first?"
"First, we go ho. I call a eting with the Network. Share the void threat information with them. Start coordinating." He pulled back to look at her. "Then we start building an army. Creating champions. Gathering resources. We have forty-seven days. We’re going to use every single one."
"Champions? What are champions?"
"Enhanced System users. Beyond regular Players. I’ll explain everything back ho. But for now—" He pulled up his phone, texting Yanto. "For now, we start the war prep."
Rama:Today. 2 PM. Warehouse. Bring everyone. It’s ti.
Yanto:Finally. We’ll be there.
Rama pocketed his phone and took Sekar’s hand. "Ready to save the world?"
"With you? Always."
They walked back to the car as the sun rose fully over the ocean, painting Jakarta in golden light.
Last ti, this conversation had shattered trust. Caused weeks of tension. Created distance between them.
This ti, it had brought them together.
This ti, Sekar knew the partial truth and had chosen to be his partner.
This ti was already better.
The warehouse eting at 2 PM was packed. Fifty Players now—the Network had grown in the past week. All of them staring at Rama and Sekar as they entered together.
"You brought your wife?" Yanto asked, surprised.
"I told you. She deserved to know first. Now she knows. Now we all prepare together." Rama pulled up the shared System display, making it visible to everyone. "The void threat is real. The entities are coming. Here’s everything you need to know."
For the next two hours, he explained it all. The void hierarchy. The entity levels. The attack patterns. The exact dates. The escalation tiline.
"The Herald arrives first. Level 73. Forty-seven days from now. Then the Reaver, Level 89. Then the Hunter, Level 107. Each one stronger. Each one arriving faster. Until the Threshold Guardian—Level 167—cos to establish a permanent gate."
"This is insane," soone said. "Level 167? Nothing can fight that."
"Not individually," Rama agreed. "That’s why we need champions. Enhanced System users who can fight at higher levels. I’ve already started the process. I’m Level 43. In forty-seven days, I’ll be Level 100-plus. But I need more. We need an army of champions."
"How do we create champions?" Ratna asked.
"Worthiness Trials. Testing potential candidates. High risk, but high reward. I’ll explain the chanics later. For now—" He looked at each face. "For now, you need to decide. Are you with ? Will you help prepare? Or will you wait until the Herald arrives and hope soone else saves you?"
Silence.
Then Yanto stood. "I’m in. If there’s even a one percent chance you’re right, we have to prepare."
Budi stood next. "I’m in."
Ratna. "In."
One by one, every Player in the room stood.
"Good," Rama said. "Then we start today. Forty-seven days. Let’s make them count."
Beside him, Sekar squeezed his hand.
Last ti, he’d fought this war alone until it was almost too late.
This ti, he had an army from day one.
This ti, humanity had a chance.
A real chance.
And he was going to make sure they took it.
