The echoes of chaos still clung to Orario when Damien, Ais, and Riveria finally surfaced and delivered their grim report. two days had passed and The guild mobilized everything it could. Alarm bells tolled across the city, ssengers sprinted from district to district, and orders were posted on every major street:
[Ergency Notice:
ANY MBER OF THE IKELOS FAMILIA IS TO BE REPORTED IMDIATELY.
THE GUILD AUTHORIZES ALL FAMILIAS TO ENGAGE.]
A god breaking his pact… it shook Orario to its core. And soon, the shock boiled into fury.
...
THE GODS' CONVOCATION – GANESHA COLISEUM
...
The coliseum roared with the voices of enraged deities, nearly every god in Orario gathered under one roof. Mortals were barred except for a minimal escort; the atmosphere was too heated for fragile ears.
Loki stood at the center, pointing accusingly upward toward the elder god seated above them all.
"We trusted him! For ages we warned you Ikelos was insane, but you did NOTHING! Now he's abusing his authority inside the Dungeon and trying to SELL a Goliath? Nations outside are circling us like vultures! If they learn to ta Dungeon monsters—we're finished! Orario falls, the Dungeon breaks loose, and chaos spreads! Ouranos—you let a TRAITOR walk among us!"
Her voice cracked through the arena like a whip.
For a mont, the other gods murmured their agreent.
Then—
"ENOUGH."
Ouranos's voice bood like thunder, silencing the entire coliseum.
"None of you presented evidence sufficient to condemn a god. We cannot banish one of our own on re suspicion." His ancient gaze sharpened. "Mind your tone, Loki. Do not overstep my authority."
Loki clicked her tongue but said nothing more.
Ouranos rose from his stone seat, cloak billowing like an ancient storm.
"As for Ikelos… once captured, he will be banished back to Heaven imdiately. His Familia is henceforth disbanded and barred from Orario."
A ripple of shock passed through the gods.
He continued:
"This operation shall be led by Loki and Freya. The Guild entrusts you both with the pursuit and apprehension of the Ikelos remnants. The rewards will be fitting."
The eting was nearly concluded—
When Fels appeared.
The silent, cloaked skeleton landed with a soft echo and kneeled before Ouranos. Their eyes glowed faintly as a private ssage flowed directly into the god's thoughts.
Ouranos stiffened.
He rose again.
"I have received dire news," he announced. "Floor 18—the Under Resort—has been attacked. A rogue Goliath… black in color. Such a thing has never been recorded."
A black Goliath. The murmur this ti was of pure fear.
"The adventurers present are outmatched—mostly Level 2s and 3s. They require urgent support."
Freya and Loki exchanged glances, ready to volunteer—
But Ouranos raised a hand.
"Given that all major Familias will be occupied hunting Ikelos, this ergency shall be assigned to the Hestia Familia and its sole mber… Damien Ardent."
The coliseum erupted.
"What—alone!?""Is that a joke?""He'll die!""Has Ouranos gone mad—"
Even Hestia shot to her feet, shocked.
"I—I…" She clenched her fists. She wanted to refuse. Damien was strong, but this? A rogue Goliath, alone?
But then she breathed out and rembered Damien's eyes—confident, ambitious, burning with sothing greater.
He would accept this.He would want to face it head-on.
So she said, voice steady:
"The Hestia Familia accepts."
Ouranos nodded.
"The Guild shall reward you handsoly. You have my trust."
The eting ended with divine tension thick enough to crack stone.
...
Loki found Hestia near one of the coliseum corridors, hands still trembling.
"Quite the confidence you have in Damien," Loki teased with her usual sly smirk.
Hestia sighed, hugging herself. "I'm still worried… but Damien is strong. And he'd never forgive if I refused in his place."
"Good. Because I'll send Ais and Riveria with him." Loki's grin widened. "I think those two have taken quite a liking to your boy."
Hestia's eyes widened in pure panic.
"HEY! Don't let your girls get close to MY Damien! Those sneaky won—what do they want from him?!"
Loki burst out laughing.
"They might steal his heart and drag him into my Familia. Shishishishi~"
Hestia stomped her foot.
"THOSE SNAKES!"
Her shout echoed through the empty halls as Loki cackled her way out.
...
Damien practically burst out of the Hestia Familia ho the mont the words "Black Goliath" left Hestia's lips.
"Sotis I wonder if you like the Dungeon and fighting more than !" Hestia groaned dramatically, puffing her cheeks.
Damien turned back with a playful smirk.
"Well… if I had to choose, I'd pick you, obviously. But I don't have to choose. So—learn more of those perfect back-rubbing techniques while I'm gone, yeah? I'm just going to go beco stronger for you."
Hestia's face turned red all the way to the tips of her twin tails.
"H-HEY—!!"
But he was already gone.
...
Ais and Riveria were waiting at the foot of Babel, ready and fully ard. The mont Damien approached, Ais's eyes lit up like a kid seeing her favorite toy.
"So it's us again, eh?" Damien said as he tightened his gauntlets.
Ais nodded firmly."Hm. I like Damien. Good match. We will win."
Riveria shot her a look over her shoulder.
"With us, Ais. Good match with us. As long as he doesn't lose himself again and try to attack us."
Damien rubbed his head sheepishly.
"Yeah… yeah, fair. I'll try not to fall for weird rage traps this ti."
He paused as if rembering sothing.
"Actually—I wanted to ask you two sothing… about that whole incident. But later! We've got a Goliath to kill."
Ais smiled faintly.Riveria sighed but accepted it.
And together, the three dove into the Dungeon.
...
As they descended, they noticed it imdiately—adventurers were rushing through the floors like never before.
So were hunting. So were hiding. So were just panicking.
The Ikelos Familia hunt had turned Orario upside down.
Every Familia wanted the glory, the prestige—and most importantly—the massive reward Ouranos promised for capturing Ikelos's traitor children. Rogue gods were nearly unheard of… but profitable when they appeared.
Even on the lower floors, they saw groups sprinting by, weapons drawn, eyes sharp.
"Hectic…" Damien muttered.
"Understandable," Riveria said. "The Guild mobilizing ALL Familias is no small matter."
Ais simply kept walking. Focused. Calm. But Damien could feel the excitent rolling off her aura.
She wanted a fight.
...
While they traveled, Riveria gave Damien the full rundown:
"From what the Guild gathered, the dungeon reacted… violently to Ikelos's use of divine authority. This Goliath is unlike the others. It is entirely black down to the bone—aning its body is infused with residual hatred and excess mana."
"So like… a buffed-up Goliath?"
Riveria nodded.
"Yes. If the original Goliath on Floor 17 is considered a Level 4 threat… this one has reached Level 5 paraters."
Damien whistled.
"Yeesh. No wonder the Guild is sweating."
"It killed several adventurers on Floor 17 and forced its way toward the Under Resort. Thankfully, Floor 18's residents were prepared."
Ais added:
"They blocked the passage with a boulder. A big one."
"Boulder?" Damien blinked. "As in… 'we prepared this giant rock just in case sothing like this ever happens' boulder?"
Riveria sighed.
"Floor 18 takes its peace very seriously. They train for ergencies."
Smart, Damien had to admit.
"But the creature has been pounding at it nonstop for a day and a half," Riveria continued. "It's only a matter of ti before it breaks through."
"So they needed help. Fast." Damien said.
Ais nodded firmly."Hm. We'll stop it."
Her tone carried absolute certainty.
And Damien matched it with his own grin.
"Damn right we will."
