"We shall commorate this eting with the guild's deepest gratitude to both the Loki Familia and the Hestia Familia," Ouranos declared, his voice rumbling through the Colosseum of Ganesha. Gods and goddesses filled the stands, tension still thick in the air from the urgent summons."It has been long—far too long—since Orario has seen cooperation between two familias on this scale. Not since the days of Hera and Zeus have we witnessed such unity."
Murmurs stirred, old mories resurfacing, but Ouranos continued.
"Not only did these familias resolve the crisis of the Black Goliath, they apprehended the god Ikelos and dismantled his cris. Ikelos has been banished back to Heaven for his violations, and shall be forbidden from ever returning. His familia is hereby disbanded, and every one of its mbers is exiled from Orario."
A wave of reactions swept across the colosseum—shock, applause, approval, whispers of justice.
"And now," Ouranos raised a hand, "for their service, the guild awards Loki and Hestia Familia a sum of ten million valis, to be split equally as the two goddesses themselves requested. Additionally, in honor of their deeds, Ganesha has declared a feast in their na. May Orario prosper in peace."
Thunderous cheer erupted.
As expected, Loki basked in the attention with a smug grin, waving at the crowd like royalty.But what surprised the majority of the divine audience was the sudden shift toward Hestia. The tiny goddess—once doubted, mocked, and overlooked—now received praise, respect, and even admiration.
All because of her child.
Ouranos then lifted his hand again, quieting the divine chatter.
"Before we conclude, there is one more matter to address."The crowd hushed."Damien Ardent. The fastest-rising rookie in Orario—perhaps in its entire history. While such matters are normally reserved for the annual Denatus… exceptions are made for unprecedented accomplishnts."
Whispers shot through the stands imdiately.
"A title… already?"
"He grew that fast?"
"Hestia's luck is terrifying…"
Ouranos continued, "Thus, we shall conduct his naming here and now. Let us begin with suggestions."
The reaction was instant chaos.
"Hestia's Rookie!"
"Love Rookie!"
"Little Rookie!"
"Falna-less King—no wait, he has Falna now—never mind!"
The suggestions got louder, stupider, and more chaotic by the second—until Loki finally raised her hand with a lazy grin.
"Alright, alright, settle down!"She stood, her voice light but sharp, easily cutting through the noise."We all enjoy jokin' around at Denatus—gods know I do. But Damien here is special. You don't get Level 3 on your first dive, you don't destroy a criminal familia, and you sure as hell don't fight alongside my children without being sothin' else."
She placed a hand on her hip, smirking.
"And as much as I'd love to call him 'Hestia's Problem Child' or 'The Uninvited Reaper'… none of us can pretend he hasn't earned sothing more fitting."
Her eyes glead mischievously.
"So how about we call him—Shadow Spawn."
The reaction was imdiate.
A wave of approval washed through the divine seats, cheers erupting louder than any previous suggestion. The na clicked—cleanly, powerfully, undeniably.
Even Hestia, who would normally fight tooth and nail against Loki's teasing, didn't rise from her seat or argue.Because she knew.It fit him.
Perfectly.
Ouranos nodded."Then, without further delay… Hestia's child shall henceforth be known as—Shadow Spawn."
The colosseum shook with applause, cheers, divine laughter, and celebration.
Damien Ardent's official title had been chosen.
Shadow Spawn.And all of Orario would rember that na.
...
"CHEERS FOR THE SHADOW SPAWN!!"Welf practically roared it, lifting his mug so high half the beer splashed over his head. The Hostess of Fertility exploded into laughter and drunken clamor.
"Hahaha! Who would've thought, eh?!" Gareth slapped his thigh, cheeks already bright red. "Though I still like Love Rookie more!"
Finn nodded, sipping with far more restraint. "To think all this happened while we were training in the upper floors… You really are sothing special, Damien."
"DAMIENNNN! SHADOW SPAWN!! WOOO!!"Tiona threw herself at him like a missile, arms looping around his side as she dangled off him while drinking with her free hand."Tiona—get off him," Tione growled, trying to peel her away.
Smack.Ais karate-chopped Tiona on the head.
"Good work, Damien. Proud of you." Ais said this in her usual monotone, but her ears were slightly red.
"Hehe… Thanks," Damien said, rubbing the back of his neck.
Chloe darted over, placing fresh drinks on the table. "From nobody to nicknad rookie in what—one month? Two?" Her tail swished, brushing against Damien's arm in a very deliberate way. "Proud of you! Really proud! And visit more, got it? We all missed you!"
She winked, then vanished to another table.
Damien smiled faintly——then blinked when he noticed Finn, Gareth, and Welf staring at him with the sa expression.
Then he turned.
The girls were glaring at him like they were about to hold a funeral.
"…What?"
"What do you think, genius? Why is Chloe flirting with you?" Tione snapped, saying what all the girls refused to say.
"That was… flirting?" Damien blinked. "All she said was she's proud?"
THUD.
Finn, Gareth, and Welf smacked their hands onto their foreheads in perfect synchronization.
And then—
"Damien! You're here!"Syr appeared beside him like a soft-smile assassin, gently placing a hand on his shoulder before drifting away.
Tione stared at him like he'd committed a federal cri."Another one. You're a sly man, Damien. VERY sly."
"Sly? What? They're just being nice! They're like this with everyone!"
"Not to ." Welf raised a hand.
" neither," Gareth agreed.
"Well… I an… I never got that reaction either but—" Finn began.
"Shut up, Finn. You have ," Tione snapped.
"Alright enough of this! Let's talk about sothing else—like the reward! Great reward! Right, Finn? Hahaha…"
"Yes, it was good," Finn muttered.
"Uh-huh."Gareth imdiately stood. "I have… matters. To attend to." His eyes darted toward the won.Finn stood too. "Sa. Leader duties. Very busy."
They both fled like cowards.
"Huh… weird. Tomorrow's their day off," Welf muttered——then froze as he saw the death stares aid at him.
"Yeah uh—blacksmith stuff. Super urgent. Gotta forge… sothing. Bye, Damien!"He sprinted out of the tavern.
Leaving Damien…
…surrounded.
Tiona.Tione.Ais.Riveria.
All glaring.
"Sooo… Ikelos, huh? Great fight, right? We won and all that—"
"Silence."Riveria took the center position like she was about to deliver a royal decree.
"Damien. We need to talk about your… love life."
"…Huh?"
"Idiot," Tione snapped. "You're a dumbass who flirts with any woman that LOOKS at him. Don't you think that's weird?"
"Is it?"
"YES."They all said it at once.
"So… this is an intervention?" Damien muttered, internally screaming.'Man… I had zero love life in my past life. This is torture.'
"More or less," Tione replied."You're going to tell us… everything."
"Everything?" Damien blinked.
"YES. EVERYTHING!"Four voices exploded at once.
Damien winced. "Can we not do this here? There are people… everywhere…"
"Fine," Riveria said, rising with a frightening aura. "We go to your familia ho. Now."
"Okay… that's better."
Damien stood.
He instantly regretted it.
Because all four won imdiately circled him like predators escorting prey.
And thus, the Love-Life Interrogation of Shadow Spawn officially began.
