Chapter 1185: Chapter 446: Fundraising (5-in-1)_3
Rhein scratched his head and replied.
…
Soon after, the hatch of the Sunshine opened, and Su Ming and others disembarked from the ship.
At this ti, Admiral Xinlad and others returned to the interstellar airport, just as they were heading towards the rapid transit platform.
To the right of Admiral Xinlad, a man with two small mustaches, round eyes, looking very shrewd, dressed in a Junior General Uniform, looked through the glass curtain wall at the Sunshine docked in the distance and exclaid in surprise.
“Admiral Xinlad, look at that ship quickly!”
“What is it, Naz?”
Admiral Xinlad raised his head without expression and looked at the Sunshine.
“Isn’t that the Sunshine you reserved, sir? It’s really a narrow escape with an old enemy.”
Naz said to Xinlad indignantly.
Upon hearing this, Xinlad’s eyes flickered as he looked at the Sunshine.
At this mont, a man dressed in a Junior General Uniform, looking gentle and refined, on Xinlad’s left side, spoke.
“Admiral Xinlad, we have an important mission at hand right now, it’s not advisable to stir up trouble. Besides, this ship was awarded to Admiral Su Ming by Lord Gakels City Master. If we go seeking trouble now, it’s likely to backfire.”
“Krido, when did I say I wanted to cause trouble for him? We’re all comrades, am I that petty-minded?”
Xinlad replied with a calm tone.
“Yes, sir, you’re right.”
Krido promptly replied.
“Let’s go!”
Xinlad said coldly.
When Xinlad and the others reached the rapid transit platform.
Su Ming and others disembarked from another rapid transit platform, the two groups passing each other by.
…
Over an hour later.
Su Ming, with Rhein and a few others, arrived at the Cosmic Army Headquarters, taking the elevator to the top floor.
In the long corridor, every ten ters stood two fully ard guards, maintaining strict security.
“Wait here for .”
Su Ming instructed Rhein and the others.
“Yes!”
Rhein and the others promptly replied.
Su Ming walked straight ahead, as soldiers along the way saluted him one after another.
He quickly arrived at Commander Alekde’s office door.
Knock, knock~
Su Ming raised his hand and knocked on the door.
“Co in.”
A steady voice responded.
Su Ming pushed open the door and walked straight in, standing in front of Commander Alekde, he raised his hand in salute and said.
“Commander Alekde, sir!”
“No need to be so formal, take a seat!”
Alekde, usually strict, now spoke with a friendly smile.
“Yes.”
Su Ming was slightly unaccustod as he sat down.
Commander Alekde noticed this and smiled at Su Ming.
“Relax a bit, actually, I’m very close with your Legion Commander.”
Su Ming was very surprised and puzzled by Alekde’s words. If Alekde was indeed close with Long Bai, why had the previous Star Storage event turned out the way it did?
However, Su Ming wasn’t foolish enough to question Alekde, he just smiled and replied.
“Yes, Commander.”
“Let’s not talk about that; I heard you just returned from the Abyss of Descent?”
“Indeed.”
“How is the situation over there?”
Alekde looked at Su Ming and asked.
Due to the frequent invasions by the chanical Clan, network communication had beco very insecure, leading the Federation to activate a warti information transmission mode.
All ssages were delivered in the form of original paper reports.
As a result, the headquarters only knew that the Abyss of Descent had been attacked by the Heavenly Revelation Divine Country and barely won, thus needing reinforcents.
However, Commander Alekde didn’t know the specifics of the battle reports.
“It was very bad. The attack by the Heavenly Revelation Divine Country was particularly vicious, causing heavy casualties to the defending forces. But fortunately, we eventually managed to defeat the enemy and execute Andro on the spot.”
Su Ming told Alekde simply.
“Andro was killed?”
“That’s right.”
“Was it General Angulat who killed him?”
Alekde asked in shock.
Andro was no small figure, his status in the Heavenly Revelation Divine Country was comparable to a general of the Federation.
“Uh, it wasn’t General Angulat who killed him, it was .”
Su Ming explained, sowhat embarrassed.
“You killed him?”
Alekde stood up in astonishnt upon hearing Su Ming’s words.
“Yes.”
Su Ming replied awkwardly.
Commander Alekde suppressed his amazent, recalling Su Ming’s performance in the Star Storage event, thinking it through carefully.
It seed plausible that Su Ming would be capable of killing Andro, given this lad’s exceptional skill in piloting Biological cha.
“Well done!”
Commander Alekde gave a bright smile, praising Su Ming.
“Thank you for the praise, Commander.”
Su Ming responded courteously.
“So, Su Ming, where are you headed now?”
Commander Alekde imdiately asked.
“Commander, during the battle with Andro, I sustained so injuries. I’m planning to return to the Federation for recuperation. My ship will depart once it’s refueled at the headquarters.”
Su Ming explained simply.
“You’re heading back to the Federation, that’s great!”
Alekde said with a smile.
“Ah?”
Su Ming looked at Commander Alekde with confusion.
“I happen to be organizing a fleet to escort supplies back to the Federation, but we’re a bit short on manpower. Since you’re returning to the Federation, why not take on this task as well, you’ll earn so military rit.”
Commander Alekde said to Su Ming.
“Alright, I’ll escort them along the way then.”
Su Ming thought for a mont; since it was on the way, he might as well go along and gain so military rit.
The journey from the Cosmic Army Headquarters to the Federation was generally quite safe for the most part.
“No, I an appointing you as the Deputy Commander for this escort mission.”
Commander Alekde said to Su Ming.
“ as the Deputy Commander?”
“Yes, the overall commander this ti is Admiral Xinlad, though I’m not very fond of his way of handling things, nor do I trust him much. However, I’m short-handed, and the goods being escorted this ti are extrely important, absolutely nothing can go wrong, so I’d like you to help oversee it.”
