Misak was montarily at a loss for words, then directly refused.
Su Ming witnessed this scene without any surprise; although there weren’t many troops at the enemy’s rear, that direction held the greatest unpredictability. If reinforcents from the Heavenly Revelation Divine Country arrived before they conquered Saint Diman Planet, they would be caught in a pincer attack, dying a miserably ugly death.
The reason Coronan let Emkain handle that area was partly because the Divine Word Legion’s forces were relatively more substantial, and also due to so personal motives.
Compared to Froco and Misak, Emkain could only be considered an outsider, lacking close relations; their interaction was more of a collaboration.
At this point, Coronan tried to persuade Emkain.
"Lord Emkain, I understand that handling that side is quite challenging, but our troop numbers are exceedingly limited now, so I’m hoping you’ll agree to take on this task."
"Impossible, it’s truly beyond our capabilities. I also need to consider the people under ; I hope you can understand, Lord Coronan."
Emkain replied with a very firm attitude.
Coronan’s expression shifted, and he turned to Froco and said.
"Brother Froco, how about exchanging positions with Emkain?"
"Brother Coronan, it’s not that I’m unwilling, but my troops are so few that handling the task is truly unrealistic."
Froco’s eyes darted, and he imdiately shirked the duty.
Seeing that no one was willing to attack the rear, Coronan’s expression beca quite grim; these guys were all cunning. But then he suppressed his anger.
This was no ti for disputes; missing the attack opportunity would an a great loss for minor gains.
Coronan took a deep breath and said to Emkain.
"Lord Emkain, how about this? We’ll swap positions; you take on the frontal battlefield, and I’ll deal with the rear. How’s that?"
"Fine!"
Having listened to Coronan’s proposal, Emkain’s expression altered, and he eventually agreed.
Even though there were more enemies on the front battlefield, at least they were fixed, without many variables. Even in defeat, he could retreat directly back to the rear production zone.
Seeing Emkain agree, Coronan’s expression softened sowhat, saying.
"Since everyone has no objections, then let’s settle the battle plan like this. As soon as the eting ends, we’ll imdiately take action."
"No problem!"
The four, including Emkain, nodded in agreent.
"Lastly, let say this: we must break the cauldrons and sink the boats this ti; there’s no turning back, and no one should flinch!"
Coronan spoke fiercely to everyone present.
"Lord Coronan is right. To ensure infallibility, I propose that everyone swear in the na of the God!"
Emkain said solemnly.
"No problem."
Coronan and the others nodded in agreent.
The four then simultaneously raised their hands and declared.
"Before the God, I, Coronan, solemnly swear to stand united in this battle with everyone. Should I break faith or retreat, may I et a grim fate!"
"Before the God, I, Emkain, solemnly swear...."
...
On the side, observing the four swearing in the na of the God, Su Ming was speechless, his mouth twitching slightly.
"Alright, let’s hope for our triumph, eting adjourned!"
Coronan solemnly told everyone.
Emkain and the other three imdiately led their n out of the eting room.
As they exited, Froco and Misak exchanged a glance, snorted coldly, and each left in different directions.
After Misak departed with Kedosa, he turned upon his face and scolded Kedosa.
"Last ti, such a golden opportunity was given to you, and you couldn’t grasp it, even managed to get yourself entangled. Truly as foolish as it gets!"
"I’m sorry, Father."
Kedosa replied with his head lowered.
"Forget it, let’s hurry up and go; our chance is here this ti."
"What chance, Father?"
"You’re really foolish beyond asure. This ti, we must restore our honor; as Coronan and Emkain hold off the enemy, we’ll seize Saint Diman Planet and obtain its materials, weapons, and technology. Then we’ll truly rise, and Coronan and the others will have to follow our directives."
"Father, you are wise."
"Don’t get too pleased too soon; don’t forget there’s also Froco vying against us. We have to get in before him."
Misak told Kedosa.
"Yes."
Kedosa promptly nodded in response.
....
In the eting room.
An Ruoxue asked Coronan worriedly.
"Father, is attacking the rear not problematic?"
"Not at all; just move quickly. We’re heading to the central control room."
Coronan replied to An Ruoxue.
"Alright!"
An Ruoxue nodded in response.
Coronan led An Ruoxue and others out of the eting room, heading toward the central control room.
Shortly afterward, Su Ming joined Coronan in the central control room.
The entire central control room was quadrilateral in structure, with a recessed circular control platform at its center, featuring a virtual operation interface. In front of the platform stood a square command station equipped with a single command chair.
At this mont, nurous operators were busy completing the final checks on the fortress.
Coronan walked straight over to the command chair and sat down, with An Ruoxue waiting behind him, while Su Ming and others stood in the corner.
A white-coated researcher wearing a monocle, his body hunched and his face lined with trench-like wrinkles, stepped up to Coronan and said.
"Lord Coronan!"
"Dr. Oliga, are we ready?"
Coronan asked politely.
"Lord Coronan, everything is ready. During the battle, feel free to use the chanical Light Computer."
