Eventually, the life vitality of the Deford Brain Beast dropped to fifty percent, and it lost its ability to move.
At this point, Mia, operating the Green Wing cha, put away her beam saber and removed a chanical light gun from her waist.
She adjusted the gun muzzle and pulled the trigger toward the corpse of Chilami.
Zzz~
The scattering beam, like a scan, covered the entire body of the type III elite Chilami·Deford Brain Beast.
Its black cellular body dissolved like bubbles, eventually turning into a dry mass of matter, completely devoid of vitality.
At this ti, a steady voice rang out in the public communication channel of Mia and the others; it was Captain Wang Sheng.
“Miss Mia, please report your situation there.
Were you attacked?”
“We were attacked by a type III Chilami but there’s nothing to worry about; it’s been dealt with.”
Mia replied calmly.
“Good, stay safe and keep the communication clear.”
Wang Sheng gave his instructions and then ended the communication.
“Teacher, you’re really amazing.
A type III elite Chilami was chopped down by you in just a few hits.”
Angel and the others spoke with admiration.
“Enough with the flattery.
Without your support in battle, it wouldn’t have been so easy to kill.
Anyway, it would have been a lot tougher, given this cha’s poor performance.”
Mia shook her head as she spoke.
“Eh?
The Green Wing cha is poor?
Teacher, we seriously suspect you’re bragging.”
Rhein said with a laugh.
“Pfft, you don’t know jack; I can’t be bothered to explain.
Let’s move on!”
“Alright!”
“And rember one thing, when we run into a monster later, just support from a distance like we just did.
Don’t foolishly charge in; otherwise, I’ll have to be distracted by saving your butts.”
Mia led them forward while providing guidance.
After all, actual combat is the best classroom and the most effective way to improve the students’ skills.
“Understood!”
Su Ming and the others replied earnestly.
As they delved deeper, entering the inner areas of the city and arriving at a broad street,
the sight that t their eyes stupefied Su Ming and the others.
They saw various chas, including Iron Heads and Iron Knights, scattered about the street.
Transparent shop windows on both sides of the street displayed different styles of First Generation chas, and one could even spot Second Generation Iron Guard chas.
“So many chas!”
Zhang Yi exclaid in surprise.
“This looks like a comrcial street specializing in the sale of chas and military weapons.”
Su Ming mused and then said.
“Could there be advanced chas here?”
Rhein asked excitedly.
“Hard to say; normally, advanced chas are custom-made, and it’s rare to find them in stock.”
Su Ming continued chatting with Rhein while controlling his cha to go forward and inspect the fallen chas to see if there were any survivors.
But when he approached a fallen Iron Head cha, he noticed a hole in its back.
Su Ming frowned slightly and moved to the other fallen chas.
He found that each of the chas had a hole in the back, as if they had been pierced through.
“How is it, did you find anything?”
Mia asked Su Ming with a grave expression.
“All these chas have a puncture in the back; the situation doesn’t look good.”
Su Ming replied rationally.
At that mont, Angel’s excited shout suddenly rang out on the communication channel.
“Wow, look at that exhibition hall in the building over there!”
Su Ming and the others instinctively turned their heads, looking in the direction Angel was pointing.
They saw a large building not far away, with a massive exhibition hall on the first floor, its walls made of special glass.
In the exhibition hall stood a Third Generation cha·Gun Knight.
“Gun Knight?
No way, am I seeing things?”
Allu’s voice betrayed her astonishnt.
“Haha, we are in for a fortune.”
Zhang Yi exclaid with ecstasy.
“Don’t get too excited, it’s not necessarily the real deal, it might just be a model.”
Su Ming reminded him coolly.
“That seems likely, what company owns this building?”
Zhang Yi, doused by Su Ming’s words like a bucket of cold water, imdiately regained his composure.
“It belongs to the Heavy Strike Club.”
Allu looked up and carefully read the plaque hanging on the exterior wall of the building before speaking.
Upon hearing Allu’s words, Su Ming was also slightly surprised, not having expected to find this club here.
Then Mia, her eyes gleaming subtly, spoke.
“Let’s go, check if it’s the real thing or just a model!
The Heavy Strike Club is quite famous in the Federation, we might just hit the jackpot.”
“Alright!”
Su Ming nodded without hesitation, as he was more hopeful than anyone that the Gun Knight was real.
Although the Iron Guard cha he was currently piloting perford decently well, it was no match for the III-type Chilami, and during the recent battle, Su Ming didn’t dare to get close enough to engage in combat.
Mia led them towards the building.
Soon they reached the entrance of the building, where many Iron Head and Iron Knight chas lay overturned, and several bodies floating midair, all clad in the Heavy Strike Club’s uniform.
Mia led them straight inside, up to the Gun Knight.
“I have a feeling it’s just a model.
If it were real, they would’ve probably used it by now!
But then again, this model is a beauty, an exact replica of the real thing,”
Rhein mused, stroking his chin as he looked at the cha before him.
“I think so too.”
Zhang Yi and the others weren’t very optimistic.
However, just then, Mia spoke up.
“This is a real cha.”
“What?
Teacher, are you sure you’re not mistaken?”
Rhein and the others looked at Mia, disbelieving.
“Dammit!
Whether it’s real or fake, you think I’d make a mistake?”
Mia, irritated by their doubt, cursed.
Su Ming, hearing Mia’s statent, showed a look of joy, hardly believing it was actually a real cha.
“No way, what’s the story behind this Heavy Strike Club, for them to have a real Third Generation cha just lying around?”
Zhang Yi asked, shocked.
“Not sure, all I know is that this club is quite famous in Starlight City too, apparently they’ve got businesses in many places,”
Rhein contemplated for a mont before shaking his head and replying.
“Don’t ask about things you shouldn’t.
This club ain’t no trivial matter, frankly, it’s their way of attracting and nurturing freelance aces.”
Mia warned them irritably.
“I see.”
Su Ming, pondering upon her words, replied thoughtfully.
“Oh co on, why bother about all that?
The main point is, this is a real cha, we’ve struck gold!”
Zhang Yi couldn’t stop smiling.
Mia sighed and then said,
“Don’t just celebrate, scatter and look around, see if you can find the key!”
“Okay!”
Su Ming and the others responded at once.
A mont later, Su Ming and the others regrouped.
They had searched all the dead bodies and had not found the key to the Gun Knight.
Moreover, the club was not small, and conducting a thorough search would take a significant amount of ti, ti they simply didn’t have.
“Teacher, what do we do if we can’t find the key?”
Su Ming, not willing to give up, asked as he looked at the Gun Knight in front of him.
