269: Chapter 269: Hazardous Materials (Added for the alliance leader, Maple Night) (Part 5) 269: Chapter 269: Hazardous Materials (Added for the alliance leader, Maple Night) (Part 5) A crack erged along the edge of the sealed black tal door, as if sothing had squeezed its way out from it.

“The laboratory is inside here, and there’s a very high chance that the origin of this disaster spread from this place.

Therefore, it might be extrely dangerous inside, everyone be careful and ensure your own safety!”

Major Gene sternly reminded the crowd.

“Understood!”

Lin Chuyu and the others responded gravely.

“Open it!”

Major Gene gestured to his subordinates.

Suddenly, several Second Generation cha stepped forward, equipped with a special device which they attached to the sealed black tal door.

These devices were fitted with glass tubes, through which a grey liquid flowed.

Then they stepped back and pressed the detonator.

Instantly, the whole device activated, the liquid inside the tubes heated up and turned silver.

Bang~

With a dull sound, the chanical devices burst open, spraying the silver liquid onto the black sealed door.

The once smooth tal door imdiately beca roughened.

Major Gene, controlling the Green Wing cha, charged up and swung his Beam Saber against the door.

Crack!

The thick door shattered instantly.

“Enter!”

Major Gene cautiously led the group inside.

Soon, the disordered laboratory ca into view, with broken experintal equipnt, shards of shattered glass, paper docunts, and the bodies of researchers in white coats floating everywhere.

These deceased researchers maintained expressions of horror on their faces as they died.

But with a gentle touch, these bodies imdiately broke open, revealing hollow cavities inside without any exception.

Everyone watched this scene, their nerves strained to breaking point, as if they stood before a mighty foe—fearing that a monster might suddenly jump out from sowhere.

Major Gene’s eyes flickered as he waved his hand to give orders.

“Biluo, you take a team to search every area and confirm it’s safe.”

“Leonka, you take the land combat troops to check all the deceased researchers, ensuring if Dr.

Ting Li and Dr.

Li ngqi’s bodies are among them.”

“Baoken, you lead a team to search for any survivors.”

“Yes!”

Biluo and others responded with a solemn voice.

“Be careful during the search, and do not take it lightly!”

Major Gene solemnly reminded.

“Understood!”

The subordinates operating the chas dispersed to carefully search and inspect every corner of the laboratory.

Land Combat Captain Leonka led his soldiers forward, cautiously examining the corpses.

Their movents were very gentle, for now, the bodies were reduced to re skin, and damaging them would make recognition difficult.

Lin Chuyu and the others didn’t move; they operated their chas, gripping their weapons firmly and keeping an eye on all the searching officers, ready to act if anything unusual arose.

The atmosphere in the entire laboratory was incredibly tense.

At that mont, Teacher Kafaro, operating a cha, approached Major Gene and spoke with a tinge of worry.

“Major Gene, do you think Dr.

Ting Li and Dr.

Li ngqi could have perished?”

“If that’s really the case, there’s nothing we can do,” replied Major Gene, his brows furrowed.

“Sigh.”

Teacher Carlofa too sighed heavily, now only able to pray that they were still alive.

If they really were dead, their mission would have failed by half.

As ti continued to slip away, the entire laboratory was searched through.

“Report, sir!

No sign of Chilami, nor any survivors found.”

“Sir, Dr.

Ting Li and Dr.

Li ngqi were not among the dead.”

Subordinates reported in one after another over the communication channel.

“Good, it seems like they’ve probably escaped.”

Major Gene breathed a sigh of relief inwardly.

“What should we do now?

Where do we search and rescue those two?”

Teacher Kafaro asked sowhat awkwardly.

Since Dr.

Ting Li and Dr.

Li ngqi were not in the laboratory, it was very likely they had hidden sowhere else.

With the ship being so large, it wouldn’t be easy to find them in a short ti.

“There’s no use in rushing; we can only do our best to search and rescue, but before that, there’s another thing we need to do.”

Major Gene said, looking at the ssy laboratory in front of him, his expression changing.

“What’s that?”

Kafaro and the others all looked toward Major Gene.

“Imdiately collect all the data in the laboratory, remove all the data disks from the equipnt; these are all classified information of the Federation and must all be taken with us.”

Major Gene gave the order decisively.

“Yes!”

On receiving the instructions, each land combat soldier imdiately began to collect all scattered data files and disassemble the data disks from each experint device.

At that mont, Leonka found a scattered docunt with the Federation’s top-secret seal in a corner.

He looked at the docunt with a face full of shock and fear, and imdiately rushed toward Major Gene.

“Sir!”

“What’s the matter?”

Major Gene, inside the cha, looked down at Leonka.

“You need to look at this docunt.”

Leonka said in extre unease.

Major Gene and Kafaro adjusted the optical imaging devices, directly targeting the docunt in Leonka’s hands, and enlarged the image.

When they saw the contents of the docunt, they each revealed a look of extre shock.

Class S Hazardous Transport Item: Colonel Molik’s Body, Third-Generation Genetically Modified Body.

Cause of death: Severe ntal contamination, Kais biological contamination, Storage conditions: chanical suppression coffin…

“Molik?

The transport was for Molik’s body?”

Teacher Kafaro was extrely shocked.

Major Gene’s heart also sank to the bottom.

Colonel Molik was a graduate of the Imperial Court Academy, having graduated at 24 and served in the First Legion·Imperial Court Sect.

After ten years of service and nurous honors, he was promoted to colonel at the age of 34, the most promising to beco a general level officer at the ti.

But then, for so unknown reason, Colonel Molik suddenly disappeared from public view, and later, the Federation abruptly announced his death.

It was unexpected that this shipnt would contain his body, classified as a Class S Hazardous Transport Item.

The most crucial point was that his cause of death was severe ntal contamination and Kais biological contamination.

If he wasn’t mistaken, Colonel Molik must have died during an experint with biological cha.

Although the details of the biological cha experints were tightly kept secret from the public, as officers, they knew so of the details.

Normally, bodies contaminated this way could undergo mutation, so they are usually destroyed on site.

However, Major Gene couldn’t understand why the Federation didn’t destroy the body and instead took great pains to transport it back.

And what exactly happened on the Nautilus?

Could it be related to Colonel Molik’s body?

As Major Gene was considering this, he suddenly rembered sothing and his face turned pale.

He said to Leonka,

“Quick, flip through this docunt to see if, aside from Colonel Molik’s body, there are any Fourth Generation Biological chas among the transported dangerous goods!”

Leonka hastily flipped through the docunt in his hands.

Clear on the second page of this top-secret docunt it read,

Class S Hazardous Transport Item: Fourth-Generation Biological Experint cha·Crian, Storage conditions: Strictly forbidden for any unauthorized activation, strictly forbidden for any Chilami creature to approach…

“Sir, sir, there’s a Fourth-Generation Biological cha among the transport!”

Leonka trembled.

“What did you say?

There’s a Fourth-Generation Biological cha on this ship?

Are they insane?”

Teacher Kafaro was completely stunned.

Under normal circumstances, transporting a Fourth-Generation Biological cha would require at least a level 5 vessel or heavy military escort.

In fact, the Federation had acted against regulations because the Neutral Country being used for the experints was suddenly destabilized, and they were short on manpower, forcing them to use the Nautilus for transport in a hurry.

“Damn it!

Head to the hangar imdiately and check the status of the Fourth Generation Biological cha.”

Major Gene roared furiously.
