“Okay!”
Sun Lu and the others responded one after another.
…
Three hours later.
Inside the hangar of Fatty Dun.
A lineup of chs transported up, clipped into the fixed, old-style parking spots.
Su Ming and the others stood in front of the chs, scanning the entire hangar.
The walls and tal fraworks surrounding the hangar were already corroded by the years, covered with rust.
The workstations and equipnt around looked very old, their surfaces stained with grease.
“Damn, such a broken ship.
Su Ming, are you sure it’s okay?”
Zhang Yi and the others, bewilderedly looking at these dilapidated facilities, asked Su Ming.
“Don’t worry, no problem!”
Su Ming replied, albeit with a hint of apprehension.
“That son of a gun took our twenty million and got us this ship; if we weren’t in such a hurry, I’d want to give him a piece of my mind!”
Ankaga and a few others kept complaining.
Actually, it was no wonder they were so angry: they paid four tis the price that Polar Star Club asked for and didn’t even get als or lodging, let alone dealing with this ridiculously dilapidated ship.
At that mont, Su Ming and the others also heard a series of gasps.
“Wow!”
“Am I seeing things, the latest model Iron Guard!”
“And a Third Generation ch·Gun Knight.”
“Not only that but over there, there’s an Advanced Third Generation ch of so model!”
…
Su Ming and the others, puzzled, looked over to see several individuals clad in First Generation Exoskeleton Armor·Iron Shell, gazing in astonishnt at their chs.
“Who are these people?”
Zhang Yi curiously asked.
“They must be the security personnel of the Fatty Dun.”
Su Ming briefly responded.
“Wait a minute, those chs over there, they aren’t theirs, are they?
The so-called professional security team uses those chs?”
Rhein said, dumbfounded.
Su Ming followed Rhein’s gaze and saw at a distance on the parking spots, several extrely outdated Iron Heads, so of which had completely chipped paint.
“No way, they’re using first-generation old model Iron Heads?
In space combat, isn’t it a minimum requirent to use Second Generation chs?”
Angel and the others exclaid in shock.
“Take a closer look; the Jet Wings on the back of those Iron Heads have been modified to increase power.”
Su Ming noticed the issue at a glance.
“That’s still a ss, the performance of Iron Heads is simply not suitable for combat in space.”
Ankaga shook her head in response.
“It’s quite normal, Second Generation chs are the standard for space combat set by the Federation.
The Federation can define it that way because they have money; other countries aren’t so wealthy and would be glad to have modified First Generations.
The last ti we encountered those rebels, it wasn’t so ragtag force; frankly speaking, it was the elite troops of the Abayk Kingdom.”
Su Ming simply explained the situation to Ankaga and the others.
“Oh, I see.”
Everyone suddenly understood.
At that ti, an announcent sounded.
“Attention all, the vessel is about to set sail, everyone please stand at their posts…”
“We’re setting sail.”
Su Ming said to Ankaga and the others, impressed by their efficiency.
“Let’s just make do with it!”
As the vessel was about to set sail, Rhein and the others stopped complaining.
However, as the ship began to ascend, Su Ming and the others imdiately heard creaking noises from the hangar’s ceiling and walls.
Su Ming and the others, hearing the odd sounds, felt uneasy, but they didn’t voice any further complaints.
About an hour later, the announcent sounded again.
Captain Hagett spoke.
“Attention everyone, the Fatty Dun is about to enter superluminal flight, there will be so turbulence, but this is normal, don’t worry.”
After hearing the announcent, Su Ming took out his phone to check the ti; it was 6:10 PM.
If nothing unexpected happened, they should be able to arrive at their destination about eight days ahead of schedule.
However, just then, the Fatty Dun began to increase power input and activated the Superluminal Flight Device.
Instantly, the entire ship began to shake violently.
Su Ming had a hard ti standing steady, doing his best to stabilize himself.
The mont Fatty Dun entered Subspace for superluminal flight, the walls around appeared to be compressing, visibly deforming, and the unusual noise from the ship’s body suddenly increased threefold.
“Damn, such a loud noise.”
“This…
Can the ship withstand superluminal flight?
It’s not going to disintegrate, right?”
…
Zhang Yi and the others were startled by the noise, having never traveled in a ship like this before.
“It should be fine; if not, you can stay inside the chas.”
Su Ming sighed.
“Rest assured, Fatty Dun is absolutely fine; we’ve been living on this ship for almost a hundred years.”
At that mont, a burly man with a beard ca over and said.
“And you are?”
Su Ming inquired, looking at the man before him.
“I’m Johnny, head of security at Fatty Dun, pleased to et you all!”
Johnny extended his hand toward Su Ming.
“Su Ming!”
Su Ming shook hands with Johnny and briefly introduced himself.
Then, Mi Fei also ca over, politely greeting.
“Mr.
Su Ming.”
“Miss Mi Fei, is there sothing I can help you with?”
Su Ming looked at Mi Fei, sowhat surprised.
“It’s like this; we’re very grateful that you’ve chosen the Fatty Dun, and to express our thanks, we’d like to invite you for a al.”
Mi Fei expressed her gratitude to Su Ming.
Rhein and the others all turned their heads towards Su Ming to see how he would arrange things.
“Sure thing.
Rhein, you stay here.
Sun Lu and Ankaga, co with to accept Miss Mi Fei’s invitation.”
After pondering for a mont, Su Ming agreed.
