“There’s nothing.”
Zhang Bi replied with confusion.
“That’s not right.
Search every corner of the house thoroughly and see if sothing is hiding here.
Be careful while you look!”
Su Ming said with a furrowed brow.
“Alright!”
Deng Yu and the others imdiately began to search.
A minute later, Deng Yu and his team had turned the house upside down but found nothing.
They looked at each other and then said to Su Ming.
“Sir, there’s nothing!”
Su Ming was also a bit puzzled.
What on earth could have stolen his grapes?
Though his attention wasn’t on the plate, his vigilance was usually exceptionally high.
Under normal circumstances, he would have been alerted the mont sothing approached.
“That shouldn’t be the case!”
“Sir, could it be so kind of ghost?”
Zhang Bi asked nervously.
Su Ming raised his hand and knocked on Zhang Bi’s head, chastising helplessly.
“What nonsense are you talking about?
What era do we live in?
How could there possibly be ghosts.”
“Oh, right!”
Zhang Bi replied awkwardly.
Just at that mont, Su Ming’s wristband vibrated, and a ssage popped up.
“Major Su Ming, you are hereby ordered to imdiately proceed to the Starshine Conference Hall for a combat strategy eting.
Attendance is compulsory!”
Upon seeing this ssage, Su Ming didn’t bother about the stolen grapes.
He turned to Deng Yu and the others and said.
“Tidy up the house, and then you can leave.
I have an important eting to attend.”
“Yes, sir!”
Zhang Bi and the others nodded in response.
Su Ming then turned and left.
…
On Starshine City·Main Avenue.
Su Ming followed the location provided by his wristband and made his way towards the summit of the mountain.
Along the way, he encountered squad after squad of soldiers on guard, all of them clad in Second Generation Exoskeleton Armor.
After scanning and identifying Su Ming’s identity, they all saluted and made way for him.
Su Ming passed through several checkpoints and finally arrived at the summit.
A castle, forged from black tal, ca into view, its entire structure shimring with a stark tallic sheen in the sunlight.
The black tal walls were carved with ancient war reliefs, exuding authority and solemnity, and the high towers reached upward as if to pierce the sky.
Su Ming looked at this majestic castle with a hint of surprise.
He headed straight towards the fortress.
The soldiers standing guard watched as Su Ming approached and saluted.
Su Ming continued inward, entering the castle through a side door, and arrived in a grand tallic hall.
The hall was vast, with tallic columns on each side carved with myths and various mythical beasts, while the surrounding walls were engraved with intricate patterns.
The floor was covered with red carpets, and at the very front stood a tal throne ornately carved with complex designs.
At that mont, a number of stately officers stood in two neat rows, hands behind their backs, their expressions stern.
Admiral Ferion, Admiral Jone, Vickers Major General, and Colonel Kaff stood at the forefront of the lineup.
Su Ming was montarily startled by the scene, unsure of where to stand.
Noticing Su Ming, Shu’en then raised his hand slightly and waved at him, indicating him to co over.
Su Ming looked in Shu’en’s direction, saw him standing next to Hejassi in the row on the right, and made his way over.
He took his place behind Major Hejassi.
The entire hall was silent, with no one speaking.
Then, the tightly shut tallic doors of the palace were slowly pushed open, and a purple-haired girl in dark golden armor walked in with a firm and graceful stride.
“Legion Commander!”
All the officers in the hall shouted crisply.
The resounding voices echoed throughout the grand hall.
The purple-haired girl walked to the tal throne and sat down, her gaze sharp and piercing as she looked over everyone present.
Su Ming observed the masked purple-haired girl and for so reason, she looked strangely familiar to him.
“Let introduce myself, I am the Legion Commander of the Thirteenth Legion.”
Hearing the purple-haired girl, Su Ming’s eyes flickered slightly.
It was the first ti he had seen a Legion Commander introduce themselves without a na, and her voice sounded eerily familiar too!
However, none of the people present asked any questions; they all stood solemnly.
The purple-haired girl continued with a cold voice.
“The reason you are all here is to announce the combat plan.
This operation plan is classified as grade ‘S’ top secret.
Any breach of confidentiality will be t with death!”
“Yes!”
Everyone replied solemnly.
“I hereby announce that the Thirteenth Legion will bypass the Danube Star Sea and launch a direct assault on the core star region of the Dark Star Empire!”
The purple-haired girl formally revealed her combat plan to everyone.
Yet as she spoke, the brows of many officers present furrowed, though none spoke up or objected.
The purple-haired girl glanced over everyone and said.
“If you have sothing to say, speak up!”
When Major Aragon saw that the purple-haired girl had invited them to speak, he stepped forward and said.
“Report, Legion Commander, I think this plan is a bit unrealistic.
The combat plan is indeed ingenious, but taking a group of recruits to attack the Empire’s heartland, we essentially have no chance of victory!
The Imperial Army has dispatched large forces, but several legions remain garrisoned internally, and their defensive lines are not for decoration.”
“Yeah, even if we bypass their defense lines and attack their ho planets directly, our chances of success are slim!”
“Legion Commander, I suggest a more formal rescue operation, which would be more prudent.”
Lieutenant Colonel Chen Ying and others also stepped forward to speak.
They felt the Legion Commander was too rash.
Once upon a ti, the Federation had dispatched such a powerful expeditionary force, yet they had ultimately been forced to retreat in defeat.
